I notice in the videos from the police visit earlier & from this killer that there are packages and mail strewn about the ground. Maybe deliveries that Nick doesn't trust and doesn't want to pick up. But the multiple mailboxes (mulit-unit house?) has been ripped open with contents all over the place.

That honestly was my immediate thought when I watched the video and saw him just standing there seeming a bit nervous.
