If you are a fan of watching/posting gore videos, Kiwi Farms has a general thread that will keep you away from any possibly dangerous communities.
History of gore
Gore sites are places where violent content of all kinds is documented, sometimes the aim is not to document, but to disturb the viewer by showing grotesque content. Examples of famous gore videos that gave rise to the term shock on the Internet were: 2 girls one cup, Milk Fountain and the classic 1 Man 1 Jar.
To start, what do gore and snuff mean? Gore is generally fictional and created for entertainment (like special effects in movies), while snuff involves real violence and the death of people, making it extremely controversial and, in many cases, illegal.
Although they have their differences, gore is more often used in both cases, whether fictional or real, since gore began in cinema with films in the 1950s and 1960s, such as Blood Feast (1963), although there were already small glimpses of what this genre would become in the past, as a mannequin would be used mid-scene to represent a death.
1.Gore / Shock websites history of the Internet
In the early 90s, the internet was young and there was no moderation (well, the internet never really had moderation), in this era of easy content the first gore pages began to appear, Gore on the internet began with early underground forums and websites, such as BBS (Bulletin Board Systems), where explicit images and videos, often of dubious origin, such as real accidents or crime footage, were shared.
Rotten.com came out in 1996,Rotem being the ones who popularized the shocking content that reigned on the young internet
Rotten.com, registered in 1996 by Soylent, was a pioneering explicit content site that presented itself as a defender of free expression on the internet. Featuring a minimalist design, no thumbnails, and morbid descriptions, it published user-submitted images and videos, including autopsies, crime scenes, and pornography, often with dubious attributions. It was notable for publishing a fake image of Princess Diana's body after her accident and photos of the 9/11 jumpers. In 2005, US Attorney General Alberto Gonzales ordered the removal of the "Fuck of the Month" section, leading to criticism from the site's moderator against censorship.
In the 2000s, sites like Ogrish.com and BestGore.com gained notoriety. Ogrish, which later became LiveLeak, although more moderate, allowed users to upload videos of wars, cartel executions, and other violent events, attracting millions of views. Simultaneously, anonymous forums like 4chan played a crucial role. In sections like /b/ (random), users shared gore images and videos as part of a culture of "shock trolling," where the goal was to provoke strong reactions. "Shock sites," like Goatse or 2 Girls 1 Cup, mixed gore with scatological or sexual content, becoming viral phenomena that transcended underground circles. During this time, gore also began to generate ethical debates. While some defended its dissemination as a way to expose the brutality of the world (for example, by showing the reality of wars or crimes), others saw it as an exploitation of human tragedies, desensitizing viewers, or normalizing violence.
With the advent of social media, gore found new channels for dissemination, albeit with greater scrutiny. Platforms like YouTube, Reddit, and Xitter allowed the sharing of graphic content, but moderation policies began to restrict it.
But it remains common on Twitter, where the gore community is very active.

Gore Mixtape community
Recommended by @Relinquish since it is a topic that interests himThe "Gore Mixtape Community" is an online subculture, primarily active on forums, social media, and video-sharing platforms, that focuses on the creation, distribution, and consumption of "gore mixtapes." These are compilations of videos, often extremely graphic in nature, that include explicit content such as extreme violence, accidents, deaths, and in some cases, material considered disturbing or taboo, such as scenes of cruelty or illegal content. The community is related to the genres of "mondo films" and "shockumentaries," such as Mondo Cane or Faces of Death, but is distinguished by its focus on non-narrative collections, often edited with music or effects to maximize the emotional or shock impact.
Narcovideos

Narco-videos are explicit recordings of extreme violence, such as executions, torture, or mutilations, produced and disseminated primarily by drug cartels to intimidate rivals, authorities, or the public, and viewed by online communities known as narco-consumers on platforms such as X, Telegram, or Elblogdelnarco.org.
Gore Trolls / Spammers
The gore troll community is an internet subculture that shares explicit content depicting real-life violence, such as executions or torture, often related to drug trafficking (e.g., videos of Mexican cartels), with the aim of provoking shock, disgust, or laughter through dark humor.Although they historically spread shock sites like Goatse, they now evade social media moderation, generating controversy by desensitizing users, amplifying drug propaganda, and exposing unsuspecting audiences to traumatic content, which has fueled debates about ethics and internet censorship.

Shock pages
- Lolshock: Lolshock.com was a "shock" website, active since 2008 and associated with the LOLShock Network, created by the same people behind Fugly.com, known for hosting the Scary Maze Game. It compiled explicit and disturbing videos and images, such as "2 Girls 1 Cup," "Blue Waffle," "Bowlgirl," "Clown Song," and "Fruit Launcher," which included pornographic, scatological, violent, or grotesque content, often presented in a humorous yet macabre tone. The site, which relied heavily on Adobe Flash animations, ceased to operate, likely due to the technology's obsolescence. Although some sources describe it as an "arts and entertainment" site, its content was explicitly NSFW (not suitable for work) and sought to provoke extreme reactions in viewers.
- Blue Waffle:Blue Waffle is not a real sexually transmitted disease (STD), but a hoax. It was shared through a website that showed an infected vagina with a blue tint. The trolling was that you were told about the disease and had to look it up on the Internet, at which point you were trolled.
Gore pages
- Ogrish: Ogrish It was a classic gore site. The name of the site derives from the archaic English word “Ogrish”, according to the site’s FAQ, “ogrish” or “ogreish” is defined by old dictionaries as a monstrous giant from legends and fairy tales that devoured human beings and also refers to cruel, brutal or evil people. Ogrish closed in 2006 and from it came a podcast service and a forum called Underground Media.
- LiveLeak: LiveLeak (at the moment itemfix)It was a news-type information page that sought to represent current events and human fragility so that everyone could access it. It was created by Hayden Hewitt,The most relevant controversies were the video of the beheading of Adam Hussein and the death of the journalist named James Foley. Unfortunately, the site closed in 2021 after 15 years of existence. The page that is replacing liveleak is very similar and already covers accidents but without deaths.
- Documenting Reality: Documenting Reality (A) It is a gore forum protected by cloudfire and is little known and information about its development and evolution is scarce, the site was blocked in the United Kingdom and has had several legal problems to the point that in 2016 the web provider closed the page, but then it came back later. The website hosted for a time the infamous blue waffle video.
- Bestgore.com: Bestgore.com It was for years a similar gore site, which closed because its creator or Mark aka No Phone Man, got tired of managing it for years as he lost valuable time, but in It's time it was one of the most relevant sites of the 2010s, even in the cemetery next to Liveleak.
- WPD: Watchpeopledie.tv ( A ) Formerly a Reddit called r/Watchpeopledie, Watchpeopledie.tv was created on April 25th, 2022, in order to continue the former glory of the old Subreddit, due to the nature of the site, many murderers have taken refuge there, something that will be explained later. It is also the bastard brother of rDrama and like it they have an obsession with a cat named Marsey, which is their logo and is the one seen in the image above.
r/Watchpeopledie Era
r/Watchpeopledie (2015-2019) where gore content was uploaded, but unlike other gore subreddit this one focused on real gore, but it had its rules at the time, the Reddit was deleted when the New Zealand attack was uploaded, and they deleted it for violating policies, which ended up with it being extended to a separate website, and they also hated Reddit for being traitors.
Normas
It's funny to think that nowadays they look down on animal gore, but before they recommended it, now I've seen users comparing animal abuse with child cruelty.

Here is the final ad, before it was banned.
