So I finished watching the "trial" version of the Beast Games before I begin watching well, the actual series, and for anyone who's not interested in watching it (I don't blame you), here's a TL;DW list of everything that happened in it. The > unskippable beast game ad with money lion portions are just the amount of ads I've gotten in between watching the video. I knew Mr. Beast would probably spam advertisement his own game inbetween his video, so I took my ad blocker off for that.
> 2,000 players compete
> unskippable beast game ad with money lion #1
> hey did you know you're risking everything for five million dollars
> first trial happens, 400 people must pull a 10,000 lb boulder (i doubt it was 10,000 lb)
> there are five different teams (red, yellow, pink, blue, orange)
> red gets out
> unskippable beast game ad with money lion #2
> next trial is 400 cases, 50 of them will eliminate someone while 350 of them will keep someone safe
> each team is separated into individuals
> unskippable beast game ad with money lion #3
> hey did you know you're risking everything for five million dollars
> 250 people eliminated
> unskippable beast game ad with money lion #4
> day has ended, people sleep in sleeping bags (no mention if they even got to eat or something)
> unskippable beast game ad with money lion #5
> next trial, there are 1100 flags; number of flags gradually increase overtime
> flags start at 10, then 50, etc
> people are teaming with each other on who gets the flag
> hey did you know you're risking everything for five million dollars
> hey did you know you're risking everything for five million dollars
> hey did you know you're risking everything for five million dollars
> hey did you know you're risking everything for five million dollars
> slightly wholesome moment at 13:10 when they let an old lady get the flag
> ludwig and chanceler act surprised that people aren't acting like feral primates and showing basic compassion
> unskippable beast game ad with money lion #6
> more people get out
> mr. beast gives karl the mic
> karl ends up saying "YO", which made a lot of people think he said go
> ends up getting 31 people eliminated
> unskippable beast game ad with money lion #7
> mr. beast act surprised at karl's loud hype boy personality (he definitely gave karl the mic intentionally come on now)
> actual beast game ad with money lion (not like the seven other reminders already told me enough, thanks a lot jimmy thanks a lot you're so cool brother)
> 1,100 people now remain
> final trial; mr. beast makes 100 people form into 11 groups
> forced to stand on a large podium, told that if even one person leaves through the red tape, everyone else is also out
> hey did you know you're risking everything for five million dollars
> hey did you know you're risking everything for five million dollars
> hey did you know you're risking everything for five million dollars
> hey did you know you're risking everything for five million dollars
> mr. beast does his usual bribing session
> $5,000 bribe; no one's convinced
> $50,000 bribe; people getting nervous
> $1,000,000 bribe; everyone loses it
> mr beast acts surprised when he saw the many hands go up of people who said they quit their jobs to participate in the games
> random lady jumps for the $50,000 bribe before the timer starts (timer to indicate how long people can decide who will 'betray' the group for the money)
> ends up not getting it because she jumped early; ended up also costing everyone in her team the loss
> most likely will be doxxed
> 1,000 people now remain for the actual games; the "2,000 People Fight For $5,000,000" title was sort of clickbait since it's not actually 2,000 people competing, just a 1,000 in the ACTUAL games whereas 2,000 people competed in the TRIAL games.
Overall, it was... something. The only trial that intrigued me was the "having 400 people pull up a 10,000 lb boulder together". Probably one of the more "unique" things I've seen him do. Everything else was your standard "Safe or Eliminated Briefcases" or "Bribe people with money because Jimmy is totally not aware that these are just ordinary, regular people trying to make it big and taking advantage of their desperation by constantly going > hey did you know you're risking everything for five million dollars a million times like the audience and the competitors already don't get the picture that they're trying to win something that only less than 1% of the world can even dream to have" kind of trials. Nothing actually well, unique or standout-ish. That'll probably be different for the official games, who knows.
I'll continue with the tl;dw recaps when I watch the episodes on Prime Video. There's currently two episodes out right now so I'll check them out soon.
