Trump fumbled in the last quarter with his mishandling of Covid ruining the "greatest economy" he claims to have been responsible for. The Covid response was a disaster that cost trillions and led to the current inflation that is blamed on Biden, when it was Trump's administration that passed the buck as they hightailed it out of Dodge.

Instead of collecting data and coming to a conclusion, they start at the conclusion they emotionally desire and then work backwards; cherry picking, twisting, or ignoring data to conform with their desires.
