UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson fatally shot outside Hilton hotel in Midtown in targeted attack: cops - Just Part and Parcel of visiting a Big City

The mythical wait times again.
Go to Canada and report back.
Had to wait 12 hours in er when I was a kid, more recently my dad had to wait 24 fucking hours for something that was even more urgent. And you can't even just fuck off back home and have them call you on your phone, you have to stay there with the diseased pajeets and niggers and their kids coughing in your face and be a good goy and not punch one of them even though they deserve worse.

The mythical wait times again. What a joke. Americans getting treated in Europe report no such things.

Again, you just have a fetish for seeing God-fearing, tax-paying, good American citizens get ripped off by fat-cat corporate parasites while dying in agony. You must REALLY hate responsible American citizens.........
I don't know about expats, but I live in a socialized healthcare country (one that is considered high level quality wise) and had a surgery that was set in a year and a half time until the surgery. Going through private it was two months. Ditto just going to most specialists can be months in waiting unless you go to ones in the other side of the country. Basically the system has no way to protect itself against people who swamp it with unnecessary appointments.
Nope. America has no future either. Aside from healthcare, things like buying homes has become impossible due to private equity buying them and jacking up the price tags. The American dream as you know it is dead. And your baby-daddy Trump is not going to do anything about it, because the people who killed the American dream are his rich, fat-cat friends.

You can deport all the brown people from America, and the remaining white Americans would still be fucked in the ass by privatized healthcare and private equity.
People would still rather live in the USA than stay in Europe/UK/Canada.
The people mainly getting fucked over this are tax-paying American citizens. Most of whom happen to be white. Meanwhile, minority welfare queens and illegals get Medicaid, which ensures easy access to healthcare. No red tape, no ripping off. The fact is, private healthcare is convincing people that becoming welfare queens is far better, because if you try to do it right and pay a healthcare insurance company, you'll just get ripped off. You lose a fortune and get nothing in return.

So the younger generations will simply avoid this mess by becoming welfare queens. They'll just boycott the private healthcare industry and go for the public option by staying poor because the Feds pay for everything.

The private sector: convincing the world that becoming welfare queens is the superior option!
Obamacare was an attempt to force through socialized esque healthcare and it just made everything worse. And you can be sure if everybody behaved like welfare queens then very few would be able to access it.

If you want to reform the system from the vast corruption then it's an admirable goal. But going with the idea of letting the government run it, when most of the problems in the first place stem from government corruption is insanity.

Missing persons report:
Luigi Nicholas Mangione
5"10
135lbs
6th May 1998
Last had contact: 1st July 2024
Mother: Kathleen Mangione

Luigi worked for True Car at 124 Montgomery St, San Francisco, CA 94104 - it is permanently closed and the main number is disconnected.
(TrueCar is an online car marketplace.)

My own research:
True Car set up a new office at 124 Montgomery, for people focusing on advanced R&D, developing and launching new consumer-facing and data products.

Importantly, everyone works from home.
TrueCar has implemented a dynamic work environment with our entire crew based out of their homes. It allows our TrueCar Crew to work from home and live anywhere in the country (some roles excluded). We also believe in the power of coming together in-person and deliberately design these moments to foster connection and collaboration.

Here's a report I heard from an American citizen in Ireland, which is a part of the EU.

"I fainted and broke my jaw in Ireland. My first thought when I woke up in a pool of my own blood was to tell my sister not to call an ambulance. My second thought was how much is this going to cost. This is all before the ambulance came and rushed me to the ER. My sister’s boyfriend, now husband stayed with me the night before a major exam he had to take for his Master’s degree, solidified his character to me. He did NOT need to do that. Then when I came to I kept asking, “How much? How much?” Spiraling thinking it’s going to be like $40,000. For full jaw reconstruction it was $150."

No waiting lines, no hassle, costs less than a fucking Nintendo to fix some dude's broken jaw.

Lucky you. Talk about complaining that your cake didn't come with strawberries.

Meanwhile, here in America, people who have paid a fortune to these companies get FUCKING NOTHING despite having paid into the system, because the company introduced an AI that denied as many claims as possible. They die, broken and alone, abandoned by the same system that they made rich.

Of course, that doesn't count the welfare queens. Medicaid gets them fixed up good with minimal cost.

People would still rather live in the USA than stay in Europe/UK/Canada.
Unless they're sick. Then they'd choose the latter.

Obamacare was an attempt to force through socialized esque healthcare and it just made everything worse. And you can be sure if everybody behaved like welfare queens then very few would be able to access it.
There are millions of welfare queens in America. There are also millions of tax-paying people in America. Guess which one gets the better healthcare? Hint: it's not the taxpayers.

If you want to reform the system from the vast corruption then it's an admirable goal. But going with the idea of letting the government run it, when most of the problems in the first place stem from government corruption is insanity.
Meanwhile, your only complaint with government healthcare is that YOU HAD TO WAIT. People who paid into the medical insurance scam here in America don't get anything at all despite giving up fortunes to these companies.

Goddamn, you really have a skewered set of priorities. But then again, what can I expect from someone who has a fetish for seeing God-fearing, tax-paying, good American citizens get FUCKED IN THE ASS by wealthy corporate parasites who have contributed nothing good to society? Your only solution for them is "lie back and think of the private sector", when all the private sector healthcare wants to do is rob you blind and give you nothing.

I don't know why some retards are trying tk shit on Luigi because he's rich, white and handsome. We know, and that makes what he did all the more admirable. He was a man who had everything and killed a parasite that took everything from those with nothing. There are no working class heroes (if they even exist in the first place), and 99% of males are so numbed by vidya, porn, fast food and goyslop to take action in spite of how much complaning they do. Luigi took action and was willing to pay the price, and didn't harm an innocent man, woman or child. If you don't get why that turns women on (or enjoys plenty of popular support) you're a legit no-hoper.
Exactly. If he had nothing to lose, then it's more predictable he'd try to go out with a bang, but if this dude didn't shoot the CEO, he'd be set for life. He sacrificed that comfy position in life to shed light to a true evil in our midst. He should be seen as a hero for all.

If only all upper class Americans were that selfless.

So it's really just Canada being a joke at everything despite claiming they're the best. Should have seen that coming, don't know why I didn't.
Sorry for doubting.
Still not a fan of govt subsidized health-care though but that's for different reasons. Still also hate the US health-care

Canada being a joke is about as ground-breaking as "the sky is blue". They've been a joke for a while.

Still, as bad as government-subsidized healthcare can be, the private sector healthcare is ten times worse. With the former, maybe you have to wait, with the latter, you're fucked.

Because despite some of them being "anti-communist" they've accidentally swallowed their rhetoric about the wealthy. I know that because I used to be in that same boat. But then I remembered growing up with poor friends and rich friends and how none of that mattered because they were (and many still are) my friends. The problem isn't rich people or poor people- plenty of both are hard-working and respectable. The problem is parasites, and both the section 8 crackhead living on welfare and the hedge fund manager who makes money by playing with other people's money fall under that.

they're all final, insured bills, except the first one. you can literally see the name of the insurance companies and how much they're paying. the fact a c-section could cost you personally $610k without insurance is disgusting.

back to actually talking about luigi mangione, you know, the point of this thread:

someone needs re-election money donations.
Prove it. If they are insured, they’re covered by OOP maximums. There is no way in hell an OOP max is that high. Or these services were not covered by insurance, e.g. not medically necessary. Or it’s balance billing which is illegal in a bunch of states and breach of contract when in-network. Health insurance is shitty enough. You don’t need to exaggerate it with bullshit bills that nobody actually pays. It just makes you look retarded. What kills finances is chronic care.

1st: he looks like a pooner.
2nd: like it was drawn by a fangirl who likes pretty boys (based) and posted on tumblr
3rd: like he is 50 years old. :story:

Love you for posting them.

Adding:
All you mfers need to stop coping that healthcare is somehow worse in EU. It's not. Every country has slightly different rules and regulations, but even in the worst systems (worst meaning most strained) you don't go die or go bankrupt because you cannot afford to go to a doctor.

If you have sniffles, you will wait 2 weeks to see a doctor. Big whoop. If you break your arm and go into urgent care, you may think this is urgent and high priority, but you will get triaged and chances are your arm is not in a danger of falling off and you will wait a few hours to be seen. Yeah, it sucks, but you are waiting a few hours because you can, and because the nurses and doctors are doing triage and attending to people who are in worst condition than you are. People who had car accidents are will die if they don't get attended to first.

You will wait a year for an operation if it is not urgent. It's not great, but it is what it is. The fact that you will get it in 2 months in private care just proves this shit is not urgent and you could have waited. Private care in EU only exists to cut in line. The quality of the care received is the same, since the doctors and surgeons working in private clinics also work in the public sector. You pay for convenience. And you still pay less than you would in the USA.
You need to give birth? It's free. You break a leg? It's free. You have a seizure? Free. Yes, even the abulance ride to the hospital. You have paid for it out of your taxes and if shit happens you will never EVER consider the cost of getting care. All you will worry about is who of your loved ones you will call to be there for you at the hospital, and whether you sent an email to your boss to let him know you are taking sick leave. Which, by the way, in most EU countries, you can take unlimited amount of.

If it's something urgent or life-threatening, you will have that operation in a week or two. Or however long it makes sense to wait. But you won't go without because some shitstain who you pay insurrance to decided you are "too far gone" and having an operation is a waste of resources.

Imagine defending a healthcare system who treats you like a number and not a person. You guys are suffering such crazy Stockholm syndrome it's genuenly jarring to see, even for a shitposter like me.

Adding x2:
I am under no delusion that any of what I said will resonate with the poor Yanks. These posters are way too far gone to reconsider their weirdge stances and I know that. I was waiting for a matchmaking to pop off, so I got a bit carried away. It happens.

The bills themselves are bullshit. Every cost is hidden, inflated, negotiable, meaningless.
What kills finances is chronic care.
When prices are arbitrary, whether in temporary or chronic care, it's fraud that kills finances.

I agree but @Helvetia seems like a total retard who has never actually experienced medical billing or insurance in America and found some copypasta on 4chan or whatever. I doubt she’s even American.

Why would you want to live in a country where you have to fucking haggle over the bill your hospital sends you after back surgery like you're in a New Delhi vegetable market trying to get a good deal on a couple sacks of basmati rice?

Wow yeah I love living in the third world where there's no difference between going to a doctor and a fucking fish merchant

You don’t. The insurance company does that. You do haggle when you’re uninsured. But there are situations where you may need to get hospital to use the right code, or make an appeal to insurance, or the whacky shit that happens with out-of-network providers. But in general when you have insurance, there’s no haggling.

There could be haggling later if you get into a debt settlement situation, certainly.

Again, not saying the system works. I hate it. But we should stick to real experiences and not just pics posted on reddit for updoots.

Child, you think I have access to randos on Reddit, Twitter and Threads' full policy documents? Enjoy downvotes, stalker.

I doubt she’s even American.
Child, you have not read the thread. I am not American. My name literally is the personification of Switzerland.
1000099624.jpg
(also found out there's an insurance company called helvetia, ironically)

I have posted constantly about "my" insurance in "my home" of "Switzerland" and talked about when "I" "previously" lived in the United States. Enjoy corn syrup, stalker.

never actually experienced medical billing or insurance in America
Child, I considered uploading documentation disproving you, but realised that everyone else thinks you're a faggot. Enjoy faggotry, stalker.

You do realize that none of what you are describing has to be that way, right?
None of it exists in any other "first world" country. Not in EU, not in the not-shitskin parts of Asia.

You sound like the battered wife who insists her husband beats her because he loves her.

I agree and I prefer how health care is done in Asia, particularly Taiwan. But it doesn’t mean I’m not going to point out when a Helvetian is being a histrionic retard. And this is a poster who has been thirstposting and offering zero new information to the thread. As far as I’m concerned, she is a cow and I am milking her.

If you want change, you need to know what you’re fighting against, and that means understanding the system as best as you can. If there are things that I’m wrong about I’d be happy to know about it. And you should not be prone to frothing at the mouth when someone points out that a ridiculously large bill is a questionable data point.

You are speaking like the concept insurance companies is unique to the USA. Every insurance company can and will fuck over payers no matter what the country is.

When your choices are:
1. Pay for treatment and get bankrupt.
2. Wait for a treatment until whatever you have is fatal.
Choosing 1 isn't a ridiculous choice, and having 1 is not even an option in shitholes like the UK. If your healthcare insurance provider is shit either switch out or sue them.

Stop with the sperging of muh welfare queens and FUCKED IN THE ASS. Everything has pros and cons, and wanting some gay revolution for your homosexual space communist healthcare is absolutely retarded. Either answer on how the USA won't get fucked by the same issues plaguing other countries or shut the fuck up.
