LTT is fucking scum for not saying a thing about the shitty scummy product they promoted when they realized what was going on.

I dunno if honey rises to the level of scam but they are definitely scummy. OTOH, I guess I have zero sympathy for people retarded enough to install browser extensions to sniff their shopping traffic

That's the thing: if the teaser for Part 2 at the end is to be believed, it seems Honey has also been skullfucking retailers.

So it would seem that Honey, one of the OG sponsors, is nothing short of a massive scam.

EDIT: Watched the entire video, and man Mega is really good at presenting on how Honey scammed both the consumer and the influencers that promote Honey. And judging by the preview for Part 2, it seems that Honey has also been scamming retailers big time.

I'm baffled that in the current year there are still people falling for the oldest trick in the book and are genuinely convinced that someone -- especially companies -- are willing to just give you free stuff without wanting/taking anything in return, moreso when there's an ad involved.

Nothing is ever free, anywhere. Especially on the Internet.

Was Honey the one that also let you run what was basically a residential exit node they would then rent out to people? It was (is?) called Honeygain, is that a different retardation?
honey is a browser extension related to paypal
honeygain is a voluntary botnet so people can scrape websites or post slide threads on 4chan

Why does this matter, they are only making $single digits from the purchases.
To be fair, honey being shady should have been seen a long time ago, nobody buys a company for four billion dollars without it either capturing a huge customer base that can be converted to something else, or it making a shitton of money.

Nothings free, something is always being sold. It's pretty hilarious that it was a genuine fucking honey pot for retarded soulless "influencers" to fuck them selves over and sold out literally every single other person who makes money off affiliate sales. Its honestly impress how poetically evil it all is. I honestly don't give a single bit of sympathy to fucks who blindly shill out the worst shit possible for some shiny shekels, I only care about costumers who got fucked out of discounts and the fact PayPal was able to get there disgusting evil fingers on more money.

Just how much money do these lazy youtuber fucks need?
Most, if not all of the top channels that promote these scams already get millions upon millions of views every year and somehow that isn't enough for them.
I wish every faggot that willingly deceived their audience into garbage like this to burn in hell.

To be fair there is no transparency about what they make and advertising on YouTube can be wildly inconsistent.

The biggest problem with YouTube ads is that you can't discuss certain topics at all otherwise you will get demonetized - which is exactly why these channels get millions of views in the first place. The biggest, most mainstream channels rarely dare to rock the boat with what they cover or say and so we get boring, cookie cutter shit.

The exact reason why they ended up taking sponsor slots was because they pay very well and because they give channels a bit of diversification of income.

But they are of course greedy. Honey is far from the first or last or biggest scammy shit that a large number of mega channels have blindly allowed to be their sponsors. And the biggest problem is if it's just an ad it's whatever, but if it's a sponsor slot (which as per Google's rules must be properly filmed and can't be a title card) it is basically an endorsement of the sponsors product.

Half of these mega channels can't even review a phone or graphics card or whatever properly. They are the fucking last people on earth I would trust a product endorsement from.

To defend the channels involved somewhat: if you're installing a virtual coupon cutting extension on your browser then you're someone who is throwing away your privacy for a couple of cents to begin with.

My hatred for YouTubers and sponsorships continues to be justified further. You've never sold me on your products, never will, and I will always despise you faggots because you will gladly waste your audiences time for an extra nickle, giving zero fucks if you're scamming or exploiting them in the process. Kikery at its finest.

Total YouTuber Death.

Honey = Utterly based.
I'm not a fan of most grifters but PayPal as a company is infinitely worse than all of them combined.
Fuck PayPal. I've dealt with them, Alipay, Wechat Pay, Japan's PayPay, Wise and bunch of others.
PayPal was the worst in terms of customer service, the fees they gouge out of everybody and even their interface was the worst. Worse than some Japanese and Indian garbage known for stupid nonsensical GUIs.

Well well well, I see that Honey is being discussed here, so I assume some of you retarded enough to endure through ads without some kind of adblocker (like uBlock) been seeing ads for this "adblocker" named Pie and its effectively Honey 2.0 with how it "pays you to see ads" to entice you to see shit for totally giving you money. Oh yeah, and obviously it wouldn't work with Youtube because Youtube is nothing more than one giant advertising platform now.

What a day to learn that I've been stolen from for years...and by PayPal. (It explains the big rise in 3rd party referrals for my products.) This is peak comedy and all I want for Christmas is Total Influencer Death followed by Total PayPal Death.
Rakuten seemed to be a good source of cashback in exchange for my japan purchases and anonymity, but maybe I ought to reconsider. ={ Is this how Meijer is able to send me grocery coupon booklets...

God, I hate youtube sponsorships and the faggots who normalized this shit so fucking much, bros. This type of shit is one of the many cancers killing youtube.

Watched the video as well. Honestly, why feel bad about jewtubers not getting their commissions out of a product? These niggers make 6-7 figures a year for producing pure and utter slop. I've used the extension and it helps me save decent chunks of money when getting protein powder in bulk. However, now knowing that it's owned by PayPal is what made me uninstall. Total PayPal Death. Total Jewtuber Death. Curb stomp jewtubers. Roundhouse kick a jewtubers head off. I hope that every sponsor rips off these content creators for every single penny and dime that they possibly can.
