Somewhat common Orange County W, those parts of Socal are either a 50/50 between hardcore Libshit or the most based fuckers in the state barring Jefferson (heard it gets a bit better the further from the coast in Socal).
The further away from San Francisco and LA, the less insane it is. Like radiation.

Drive out of L.A. county into San Bernadino or Kern and you'd swear you were in Texas. Nobody hates LAfags like the Based Desert Dwellers.

From what I understand north of the mountains there is nice, actual San Bern metro is... not as nice.

Sacramento is right next to San Fran.
If they're close enough to be taken out by 1 (one) asteroid, Act of God, or appropriately sized chinesium nuclear device that's good news to me

Yes, the Velarian comics are quite good. They have some of that old-school pulp story goodness.

Another recommendation is The Incal written by Alejandro Jodorowsky and originally illustrated by Jean Giraud (aka Mœbius). There are always attempts to turn it into a film, but they keep falling through. Here is a "fan" trailor made by a bunch of artists from the original Heavy Metal movie.
The Valerian is vastly overrated and only notable for the fact that George Lucas shamelessly stole things from it for Star Wars aesthetic-wise and the strip creator calling him out on it in the 80s.

The only reason I can see Democrats allowing Kamala to run for governor is to warehouse her there in order to keep her under their thumb and from crashing the Biden legacy with a tell all book or worse.

A monarchy or dictator is better nowadays vs parliament or congress et al, because a Monarch has all of the money and power a man/woman could ever need, making it harder, if not impossible, to bribe or corrupt them. Imagine offering Queen Elizabeth II, £100 million quid for lobbying, she would laugh at such a poultry amount, as The Crown and its traditions are of higher importance than a few quid.

A president, prime minister or congress critter will take the money because it's just a job to them, Monarchy is a life. Sure, you get some wanks like Henry VIII and you get some good guys like Queen Elizabeth I and Queen Victoria.

Monarchies do not like people attempting to have more power, money or influence than themselves. Bezos and Bill Gates would have been hung, drawn and quartered back in the day.
You don't know how Monarchy tier corruption works:

In a Monarchy you bribe the royal court and advisors who then bullshit the monarch into doing what you want them to do.

For even in the most strong monarchy, you have to worry about a corrupt as fuck royal court/council of advisors fucking things up

Requiring land ownership for voting is a bad idea.
No, it is not. Once again you show yourself as clueless of the fundamental nature of the United States. Land ownership being tied to voting is one of the bedrock principles, you have to have skin in the game. Getting away from this is almost as bad as allowing tax leeches the ability to cast votes, or childless men and women. When you allow people that have no real cares for the future, you get these useless fucks that only care about how they can can benefit and not their families, you get into the situation we have now. Someone with a million acres or billions in rental homes still only gets one vote, so what you are saying is still pretty stupid.

We got away from the mentality of planting trees that we will never enjoy the shade of, and we really fuckign need to get back to that.
