Nah, its not petty to hope for content, especially when its more or less the consequence of ones own actions. Considering how thoroughly this story is spreading, as many tubers use affiliate links for a lotta revenue and therefor feel personally offended by this, we'll be hearing a lot more about this before it blows over.
I would hope so, however, since it "doesn't personally affect" the end-customer besides getting less coupon and vouchers than promised, I'm a bit pessimistic about it spreading as large as I wish it would. It kinda fucks content creators more than the people using it, besides getting their data syphooned as usual, and maybe only getting 10% off instead of 20% off when searching for a coupon themselves.
Anyhow, it's funny watching the LTT-Subreddit be in damage control mode again, with plebbitors arguing that a forum is totally a public place (I mean yes, but what percentage of LTT viewers and others visit the LTT Forum?) and anyone who wanted to know about this could've totally found out so long ago by just checking le hecking wholesome techforum.
Here's some of my cope highlights.
Thread 1:
Archive Regular Link
Thread 2 (This one is funnier)
Archive Regular Link
"Guys, he held this obvious scam so accountable, by just dropping them and quietly having a staff member explain it on the hecking forum! That'll show Honey!"
"Noooo, just ignore it and it'll go away!"
And here's my personal highlight.
I dunno man, If I watch a tech channel I kinda assume they would double check twice, and maybe have someone amongst those hundreds of employees who would understand what's going on. What kind of cope is this?
Reddit never fails to deliver
