General Wrestling Discussion

I can't be mad at Dustin for getting a pay day.

If some coke head manlet wanted to throw money at me to be a part timer I would do the same.
honestly this, ive said this before as AEW's number 1 despiser, Dustin could probably have a comfy non-wrestling role in WWE, especially with his younger brother as face of the company at the moment but at his age its probably less work to just come in once or twice a month for a tag match or whatever
It's not just drugs, but he would drink a lot too.
drugs and drinking were a major part of most wrestlers lives prior to like the 2000s, it often ended tragically, and Dustin firmly wrestled in that era, but if there's a silver lining to it a lot of wrestlers have far better medical care now more then ever, and a lot of the younger generation of wrestlers have a far better lifestyle, i imagine if your someone like HBK in the NXT locker room, you're probably experiencing an absolute whiplash but in a more positive way given the fact most people backstage are just either playing vidya or chilling out rather than doing Drugs

It's funny looking back more than five years ago, WWE HQ seemingly embarrassed by Matt Cardona and Brian Myers "Figure it Out" toy show and outright refusing to let talent stream. Even when UpUpDownDown was thriving as a side hustle thanks to Woods, WWE just didn't want to accept "nerd" culture. Now they are trying to send acts out to Mattel's ComicCon panel to try and cover the niches that acts like Matt or Athena (cosplay and former DND host for UUDD) would have handled with ease.

I am curious what will frankly happen in the next few years. Will we finally see a revival of vlog channels? What other niches will WWE openly chase 10 years too late.

I suspect that drugs and alcohol are still pretty rampant in the indies. I also refuse to believe that most talent in WWE and AEW are not using performance in handing drugs.

Everyone would look like Adam Cole if that was the case.

I'm happy for Dustin because he had all the makings of "found unresponsive in his hotel room" a few years back.

He's cleaned himself up, runs his own school, can still go in the ring and mainly just wrestles tag matches. That's pretty much the dream for a workhorse veteran.
The fact he can move these days like he does makes me think DDP yoga will make me literally Batman

If you want to know why Carmelo Hayes has pretty much been dead in the water since he went to the main roster, then some backstage footage just leaked, and uhh it doesn't look good on Cody.

They’re going to make us wait years for this heel turn, but it’ll be worth it.
He has to hold the belt for a couple years at least, then I’m thinking a heel turn will happen when he loses the belt.
Codylander plz

They need to build up a faction of other top card faces that are allied to him so that they are forced to turn heel when he eventually does so that there is a complete shift in the main storyline of the company.

Build up some credible young tweeners from NXT/the upper midcard and have Cody blatantly cheat to defend his belt against their best prospect at Mania in a year or two and follow it up with his group taking this as a sign that they can act like assholes too because the boss got away with it and still has his belt.

That's easily a couple of years of shows set out with a new top face being produced by working his way up before he beats Cody clean at the end of the angle.

I was an active poster on /pw/ prior to me getting perma banned from 4chan and let me tell you something, Joshiposters there, only like Joshis because they want to fuck them, even Iyo who is now in WWE is not safe from their coomerisms, they want to stick their penis up her, at least in WWE, to some degree you have male fans who admire female wrestlers for their promo or wrestling ability (even if they also wanna coom), this is not the case with shit like STARDOM or TJPW, Yellow Fetishism is a helluva drug, idk about the Japanese fans though, I can only speak from a western fans prespective
4chan is a site founded by weebs and populated by weebs of course its going to have people posting about how much they love their real life waifus

Honestly, if Cody was still in AEW, I think we would've seen him and Dustin in a tag team.
I imagine the king of grift Conrad was in his dm's seconds after this post trying to get him for a final match. It's a easy sell for him as he can go out against cody 1v1 or with him ala Sting and Darby.

Conrad can use the "final match" emotional blackmail to get Cody on a indy and can make buckets of cash as the literal gold hoarding goblin he is.

DDP Yoga saved Jake The Snake after smoking crack for like 40 years, someone should send it to Bossman when he gets out.

How has this not been posted in here yet? There's a new indie wrestler in Chicago in some Superwrestlers fed, and...well I'm not gonna spoil it. Just watch:

Best entrance ever.
IT'S STEVEN FLOWE. HE'S HERE.

Saw this a few days ago on Reddit.

Him wearing a flannel shirt whilst also having another one tied around his waist is just fucking perfect because we all dressed like fucking idiots during the grunge era.

Wrestling YouTuber, Brian Zane, doesn't know how to count years.

Earlier today, after having a fight with people on twitter and coming up with the reason why people don't like him, Brian Zane said it's because he doesn't suck off Triple H.

Some twitter used didn't seem to agree with his reasoning for why is he hated so he told them why he isn't liked.

Nobody gets to talk to Brian Zane like that. So desperate was Brian trying to get a clapback against this troll (his name is Baiter, by the way? Tells you all you need to know) that he decided to say this to own this guy.

The tweet in question is this Baiter guy tweeted about was CM Punks tenure in AEW, which lasted from August 2021 to September 2023, which would indicate that he stayed around for 2 years. Brian Zane was too assmad to understand, so he got in this autistic slapfight that makes you think "how the fuck did this guy handle paying his rent?"

I didn't know I would see the day where some Youtuber doesn't know how many years there are between 2021 and 2023, and quadruple down on it. And all of this shit took place around Christmas.

I still think the Butterbean video was the most insane transformation, if it's legit.
It's legit the yoga itself is just basic bitch flexibility stuff but getting on a schedule of super positive Dallas workouts and a meal plan will equal results. I would compare it to a modern day sweating to the oldies by Richard Simmons except catering to broken wrestlers instead of broken senior citizens.

And he has just started to work with Lex in his chair it will be interesting to see how much progress he can make.
