Without getting too much into it (I believe I have before), I think Rand was a selfish arrogant cunt who liked huffing her own farts too much. She also was a atheist.

My own opinion of her is similar to that of Whitaker Chambers. I am no Rand fan.

Nick has a lot of stupid takes on religion, but this one always baffled me because of how much of everything you have to get wrong to wind up at that conclusion. Was he in the bathroom snorting drywall every single time they read scripture at church? I mean, the only one in the Bible who suggests Jesus should be ruling the world is Satan.

Again, I think the sticking point for Nick is the sacrifice. Matthew 26:53 has Jesus saying "Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels?"

Jesus could have done what Nick suggested (and what Jesus said he could have done), but he didn't because his death was a necessary component of man's salvation. It's the entire point of Jesus. Jesus ruling the world as a mortal man would have doomed mankind.

And Nick thinks Jesus is a loser because of what he did. Nick believes in the accumulation of wealth and power for personal gain exclusively.

Err, how? I'm not aware Nick has ever read her. I'm no fan of Ayn Rand but she explicitly rejected hedonism and loss of self-control - in her view it was considered subhuman and unbecoming of Man. Objectivism was about Man taking upon himself to survive and look out for his own interests through any means necessary and achieve natural happiness, but never to lapse into madness, misery and self-destruction.

I think a better way to put it is Nick is of course one of an endless number of talentless, uneducated and unaccomplished people who misunderstood Ayn Rand.

He has called about it many times and recommended it on his show. He even had a short running bit where he asked if people had read Fountainhead because he had his secondary school students read it one year, and supposedly one asked a local representative to read it. The represenative promised, but never did, and he was supposedly harassed over and over being asked if he had read it over the course of years.

It's also the same man who was banned from teaching the Bible to children because his teachings were so deplorable that the other parents rallied against him.

Agnostic might be the wrong word to describe me because at this point I do believe that there is a god, but I seek to be humble in not claiming to know their exact nature. I guess that might be Deism. I think it would be neat if Jesus was real but I wasn't there to see it happen and I think his message has had a massive positive impact on humanity. But that doesn't mean I explicitly deny his divinity. Even if Jesus was a mortal I believe he had legitimate divine inspiration. I also believe that I will be judged when I die and that's a much more healthy approach to life in general compared to Rackets attempting to rules lawyer god and comparing himself incorrectly to figures from the Old Testament. As has been said time and again the shit he says about Christianity is offensive even to people who consider themselves outsiders to that faith.

IIRC, it is an Aaron story that has yet to be confirmed or denied.

However, it might as well be true, because Nick did say he works to "deprogram" his children over what they learn in Sunday school. He claimed this on his stream of October 9th, 2023. This includes his belief that three of the five books that make up the Pentateuch were authored by Noah.

Which is fucking impossible, because Noah's death is recorded in Genesis 9:29, and most scholars do not believe that Noah even wrote Genesis. It is generally agreed that the Pentateuch is a work of Moses (I am pretty sure this the Jewish position when it comes the Torah too).

All of this is to say, if he did do that, they should ban him from teaching the Bible.

(As an aside, Nick claims that the Sunday school teaches that Noah wrote all five books, but I do not believe for a second they teach that. I think Nick made up a lie about what his Sunday school teaches his kids, and then tried to appear smart by issuing a correction that is also WRONG. Herp derp.).
