I appreciate a good trolley problem meme, but I like to say that America is like an upper middle class dysfunctional family, sliding inexorably away from the upper qualifier, only to end up low class trash. I use that because I'm from the Midwest, and everyone in the Midwest knows that family, often several of those families.

I've always described it as a very public bitter divorce where both sides loudly fight, and are publicly seen to do so, over the children. The go so far as to weaponize the children against each other. Yet the actual children are completely ignored and neglected, left to their own self destructive devices.

Both parents tell everyone they can whos the bestest parent ever, the bestest provider ever, and how you should hate the other parent whos secretly an evil abusive megahitler. The children, being left to above said own self destructive devices, become dysfunctional as well, and the son becomes a troon or an AF incel, and the daughter becomes a whore. And plenty of meth for everyone!

The family line dilutes into despair and death, despite the progeny of the now single mom of a whore daughter, now with 4 kids from 3 different fathers, at least 2 of them of a much darker skin tone, as the son is now a castrato or a terminal incel that no woman would breed with or marry, effectively ending the family name.

I know, its much "wordier" than a trolley problem meme, but it seems to hit closer to home when I say it.
