I definitely do feel resentment. Trying to let go of that feeling is hard as fucking hell.
I guess I'm just spiteful because the people I (used) to know are doing better because they don't deal with the same bullshit I've gotta deal with constantly.

You are just unaware of their struggles. If you have a job, flat and food on the table you are most likely doing better than them.
I know families that "look great" on outside but at home they are at each other's throats, hit eachother, drink until money runs out, live basically on bread and water and so on ...
Plenty of people are just vapid and pure showoffs. You feel bad because you learned to feel bad (or someone made you to)

Also he didn't just talk to her one time; he "attempted to talk" as she walked "to and from college". When confronted he denied ever having done it, which was later proven through what he said on social media. I've noticed that. When this comes into discussion, the women speaking of female gaze seem to be talking about their preferences, not the preferences of others (even the other women that aren't them). They create a problem that isn't there and cry "SEXISM" the moment they see a "sexy" design.
Game dev of Skullgirls Alex Ahad has made an interesting statement regarding sexy vs sexist.
I'd even say what's going on through those "female gaze" autists is "HEY WHORE PUT ON A CLOTH SO NO ONE GETS TURNED ON, INCLUDING ME!" That's far more disturbingly sexist. If that's what they're truly thinking, then they're hypocrites because they're the lot that says "women should wear what they want out of their own volition without being harrased or bullied" if they're treating the fictional characters as real people. Chances are, since they talk about it so much, they're actually titillated by the sexy set of pixels on a screen. If it were a child, I'll understand, but these female gaze-obsessed retards are also complaining about legal adults.
Also, they fixate so much on the physical appearance, much like the sort of men they condemn. In my honest opinion, "don't judge a book by its cover" should also apply to conventionally pretty things, too. Just because the female character is sexy in the series doesn't mean the series is shit or the character herself is.

I mean, yeah, but no. These are video game characters, and therefore not capable of having a will or deciding what to "wear" (i.e. what pixels they are composed off). The real message can be as simple as "Every game dev should simply be able do whatever game he wants without being harrased or bullied", which isn't as popular as a statement because it lacks the inherent virtue signalling towards women as a saviour and fedora tipping gentleman.

On a more serious note, the reason women complain about sexy women in media is that a woman feels threatened when a man is looking at an attractive woman who isn't her, while she likes seeing an attractive woman who inspires her with ideas for making herself more attractive so that men will look at her. All of their rationalizations, like that "sexy vs sexism" video, are just trying to avoid stating that succinct fact.

It's even more insufferable when they do it outside of "art". Nothing makes me cringe harder than a performatively horned-up woman thinking she's being "empowered" by acting as trashy as humanly possible. It's not cute, it just makes you come off like an overcompensating whore who'll pitch a toddleresque tantrum the moment she's told "no".
I don't even think it's a modern phenomenon. It's probably what used to be called "vamping" in old timey slang and it's a lot more transparent and annoying than women who do it thinking they're master manipulators assume it is if they're unfortunate enough to try it on anyone with at least a room temp IQ; I may be a retard but I'm not a paste-eater, ma'am.
