I'm not taking up for Elon here, I'm disgusted by him over the past few days. But he sees these people pushing back really hard and he can't seem to understand it, it doesn't seem like he's ever had anyone push back on him among people he mostly agrees with. Of course he's got a huge dose of autism, and a big dose of ego, he's not able to read the room at all. And he's not totally wrong, we should be grabbing the top say 500 smartest people coming out of US college stem programs regardless of race or country. he wants 20 thousand (going by his statements on x over the past couple days) to slave away at his companies. He is missing, probably on purpose, that once you get 1 Indian you get their next 10 friends AND families. I think both sides are getting angry and misunderstanding the other one on purpose, and I sure as fuck hope cooler heads prevail on this. He seems to act like he's backed into a corner and everyone he considered on his side have pulled the knives out. He, unironically, needs to turn the damn internet off for a few days and unplug from this shit, get some First buddy time in with Trump and family to sort him out, explain he's out in the weeds and hurting himself with this.

The groypers and Nick SHOULD be banned, let him lie and claim it was bad timing but they broke some TOS rule or something, claim Loomer was doxing (she was) and tell her she has one more chance and she's gone.. then just nuke her reach completely until she spergs out and makes a threat. Maybe if he wants to be real petty, let some of his allies make some calls and really take Loomer's knees out. Rumor is she lost her contract with Rumble sponsors too and she's on the chopping block there too.

If a living wage was required for basic nontechnical farm labor (like picking fruit with your hands), it would be automated. This would incentives mega-factory-farms. Basic farm workers would not exist.
The competent adults that worked a few seasons of farm labor (as a kid) are not going to have farm laborer jobs as adults. They will be doing every other type of job in the economy. The few seasons as farm labor gives them the very bottom entry-level skills. Kids will not be competing with adults for non-farm jobs.
It is not some kind of mandatory enforced labor camp. It is a narrow exemption from labor laws with the goal of teaching entry-level skills to kids, getting them outside in nature, and helping the food system be more community based.

A few half days during harvest to learn entry-level work ethic is not going to cripple anyone's learning. Half a day outside picking apples would probably improve school performance just by providing basic exercise and fresh air.

For Engineers in general, that would be a reasonable salary for an entry level (associate) engineer.
Which makes the cost excuse for H1Bs even more dubious.
Elon could work with the University of Texas for a work program, since it’s literally right there, and get people for less.
So it’s really about captive labor.

1. There's no such thing as Gender. You mean Sex. What are the traditional roles for the fairer sex, again?
2. What would tradition say about the various mongoloid races such as the Indians, the Arabs, or the Negros?
3. Similarly, what would their views on sodomites be?
Remember, tradition in the US means Christianity of a sort the west would absolutely try to ban as a hate movement in 2024. Conservativism is not, nor should it ever be, Liberalism with speed bumps. Separation of Church and State means you get to pick your Church, including none; it never meant you would be allowed to reject God.
I want a serious discussion on banning the birth control pill outside of medical necessity as it's existence as an over the counter entertainment drug is clearly causing societal damage. I want a review of the benefits of allowing dual citizenship for Jews, something we allow no other group to do. I want the sacred cows of the left, such as teacher's unions and the department of education, to be called in front of congress to explain why we shouldn't shut them down outright for being harmful.
