i think a lot of conservaties saw that jack dorsey's reign of terror was coming to an end and were excited that some other retard was taking charge of the website that had some kind of goal for the platform even if it was just ego. Dorsey's twitter sucked and in his interviews there was an obvious sense of shame about people he disagreed with existing on his website, something elon at least understands and isn't afraid of utilizing to his benefit. dorsey was flat out trying to kill twitter. i mean, twitter sucks, but at the same time now you have a competition between two guys, one who's trying to destroy the thing, and one who's trying to build it into a better thing. i'm always gonna be on the side of the latter
