Bernie Sanders is a lazy commie who has never worked a day in his life. He doesn't give a shit about the "American working class" and he never has. He's too busy laughing at them as he counts his money in his third mansion.

I don't believe for a second Trump gives a shit about me, but the things he wants to do to benefit himself will also indirectly be a net benefit me. That's a better deal than anybody else is offering right now.

Elon is a mega donor. He has more sway in government then you think. If Trumps biggest donors want more H1B's, then Trump will push for it. The the best we can hope for is the more conservative wing in Congress like the Freedom Caucus will vote against any legislation that increases H1B work visas.

Not really. All he loses are a bunch of hillbillies who are so insecure over their work prospects their only move is to kick the competition out of the labor market. Which doesn't really help, since companies can always hire people overseas if immigrants are kicked out. If Trump picks the "America First" side, he doesn't profit at all, and many of his rich friends will be yelling down his ears about lost profits. He's not going to be welcome to their country club gatherings anymore.

Meanwhile, if Trump picks Team TechBros, he gets tons of cheap labor which saves money, and tons of donations from happy businessmen who saved money.

The media will absolutely want him to pick a side, or better yet, pick both sides so they can continue this open fracture in the right coalition. They "own" silicon valley and the TechBros, Elon betraying them is the equivalent of a Black politician shooting them down: it drives them crazy. A mid to long term goal from them HAS to be "get them back on our plantation, we NEED them to censor tech for us going forward."

Remembering that TechBros basically, thanks to streaming, now own the Hollywood indoctrination machine. If the TechBros decide they need to culturally engineer an American youth that is less interested in random lispy queer rainbow flag carrying shit and more interested in making cool shit and going to Mars, it's going to cost them 40+ years of demoralization efforts.

H-1B is not the "Highly Skilled" Visa. The "Highly Skilled" Visa is the O-1 Visa, but it's not possible to game the O-1 Visa in the way they're gaming the H-1B Visa system to bring over an infinite amount of brown tech serfs to work for 40-60% of a fair wage with no civil rights.

The danger of Elon's autistic freakout and everyone and their mother talking about this is twofold: 1. It risks the H-1B system being recognized by people outside of Tech for it's abuses and 2. It risks blowing the lid off of India's little game before they can turn the US into Canada/UK.

Frankly I'm absolutely gobsmacked Elon didn't get a call not just from the Trump Admin, not just from Vivek, but from every TechBro CEO he might possibly recognize the caller ID of telling him to shut the fuck up for a few days until they can get a political crisis team spun up to formulate an actual response.

I really don't understand why make all this fuss publicly about something theoretical before Trump is even governing? They definitely had Trump's ears in private, so why not STFU in public and just talk privately to the man and stuff? This is such retarded behavior I cannot understand why those two very intelligent men are doing this.

Surely you must have a ballpark number in mind. Like I know off the top of my head that the number of war dead in WW1 and WW2 is in the millions.

So, roughly, how many people were killed just for being a bit too tan, since this is totally a thing that happened? Tens of thousands? Millions?

Anyone in agriculture is currently furious. How do you think a lot of big farms are run, asides from straight up illegals? Visas. It keeps costs extremely low and the owners make a killing. That is just a micro example of the absolute shitstorm Elon has stirred up. He is blowing up the system because he doesn't want to lose.
