I remember watching when that happened. Townsend just wanted to do his thing and had to deal with politispergs, as we all do from time to time. He handled it really well though.
I like a lot of his stuff because it's really comfy and was happy to see that he's just a guy that made a living off of his hobby with his pals. His hobby serves a purpose too because actual history is important. Dude is a real one.

Isn't this why he put Vivek onto DOGE in the first place? Not a technically government position, and can be thrown out with literally no repercussions if he got out of line. This is what I figured at least, and it's a smart move for a high profile Republican who's not really on the 'in'.
As for Elon, he's a retard, but he's our retard gawdammit. He's not making policy decisions, and is just advocating for what he likes like all of us retards. Honestly he's not nearly the worst offender, at least his shit usually works compared to literally every other tech company.

For something to work well, it requires debate and criticism. If you remove the ability to criticise and debate, you remove the ability to discuss problems before they become too big. The USSR punished criticism with death, and had mass starvation and a nuclear plant explode and turn a city into a death zone because not one person was able to go to a leader and say "hey this is a problem, and if you keep taking us down this path the problem will get bigger"
In Canada the jeet problem was taboo to discuss, and even mentioning that there were a lot of unskilled jeets get you banned and ostracised. It required taking it to the point where the hospital system effectively collapsed and homes became affordable for people to be willing to discuss the problem of too many immigrants and foreign investors, and the ruling party is expected to be completely wiped out because they still refuse to acknowledge the severity of the problem. Biden's day one act was to rip apart the wall and allow massive migration, and that caused massive waves of aliens and viral pictures of them camping under bridges by the thousands and overwhelming towns. The biden administration refused to curtail the number if migrants, and it took Texas and other states bussing the migrants to Democrat states for them to even think about doing anything about it. Hell, I'm convinced that the Covid vaccine had a contamination problem (as i doubt the FDA was somehow perfect while the FAA allowed Boeing to make planes that fell out of the sky), but any discussion about it was made taboo and conspiracy.
There are thousands of examples of the Democrats simply refusing to listen to criticism and warnings, then being all shocked and unprepared when it blows up in their face. if we had a honest and objective media and a fair and just election system they would've never been this close to winning.

The story reminds me of "The Machine Stops" by E. M. Forster (1909).
Dystopian story where humanity lives underground in one-person rooms, completely dependent on a vast machine that provides for all their needs. People can communicate long distance. There is a son and mom. They live distant from each other. The son wants to visit, but the mom doesn't see why. The mom trusts the Machine completely, and her son warns that the Machine is failing. As the Machine eventually breaks down, society collapses due to their over-reliance on technology. There is a side-plot that reveals primitive humans on the surface who might begin civilization again.

Nixon's analysis is good, so I'll add that the only real way to understand the Chinese is to go there and eat their food and read their literature. You also have to remember that their country is about half a continent, not an island.
Your average American Right-winger, like Razorfist, is actually terrified of China. Thus, it makes most of their analyses suspect. First of all, Demographic collapse is a dubious claim because it assumes that China is a closed country. We know it's not true because it engages in regional and international trade and thus, has a breeding population that is more than just their nation. It is also a nation that is starting off at 1.3 Billion. Even if you cut 300 million (or most of the US's population for comparison), it's still a billion people. Attrition, by itself, is not going to be what ends China.
Americans also confuse the Chinese with the CCP. Taiwan Number One aside, all the hypothetical dissolution of the CCP means that China becomes several different, but mostly similar regions. For foreigners, international trade will still occur because of the massive factory cities that produce goods at scale. As McDonalization shows, goods don't have to be that good when they can be produced at great value. So, for Americans, Chinese businesses don't just disappear as competitors. They might actually work better without CCP interference.
So, no, China is just one of those nations that will always be around in one form or another.

Heavy taxes on remittances solves more problems than just Indians, and doesn't violate the Constitution. It does no harm to the people who are genuinely coming to the US for a better life, but the freeloaders who come from 3rd world shitholes just to send their wages back "home" to their 14 family members (and to get taxed by their 3rd world shithole governments) would all leave.

Everyone can agree that some type of program to bring in foreigners with highly-desirable skills is beneficial AND that the current H1B system is being thoroughly abused and broken beyond repair.
Both of those things can be true at the same time.

Reasons why I think this has been so successful:
1. Left is still reeling from the election, and is viewing this with the idea that Right-wing infighting is good for them and that it's bad to interrupt your enemy when making a mistake. Wrong, this is pulling the Overton window further right by forcing the Center-right to acquiesce to our demands. It's the opposite of the Left browbeating the Center-left into supporting sexual degeneracy, which moved the Overton window left. Basically, it's the "woke right" winning.
2. As much as people have completely shit on him, and how much he does deserve it, this still wouldn't have been possible without Elon's ownership of Twitter. Dorsey's Twitter would've never let this slide.
3. Predictive Programming with Jeets for the past 2-ish years. I don't mean in the "this was intentional" conspiracy sense, but in the sense that those AI Poo memes among other things normalized discontent and outright racism against them. It buried the seed at an absolutely perfect time.

If there's one thing I know about the US, it's that the IRS will have their pound of flesh. They got Capone on tax evasion.
The amount we see leaving this country for remittances dwarfs our foreign aid budget. Remittances deliver no value to the United States, and keep family ties to foreign lands stronger than ties to the United States. They prevent assimilation in half a dozen ways, and no benefit accrues to the United States from this activity.

What area of expertise? Elon succeeds because he is autistically focused on certain ideas and has the charisma to sell them to people who put them into action. And he's only succeeded with SpaceX and Tesla so far. Twitter he's ran into the ground because everything he's done beside firing the worthless Bay Area HR losers and not making it the FBI and Democrat Party's personal censorship machine has been disastrous. Like the entire bluecheck/goldcheck system. You're really gonna tell me Nick Fuentes can make a group of fags and get the same gold checkmark big corporations get? That's just stupid from the perspective of running a business and has zilch to do with the free speech Elon (falsely) claims to stand for. I have zero faith in DOGE since it's ran by two people who now have long manifestos about why they hate Americans, and if Trump is smart he'll quietly axe the entire thing in exchange for some other favor from RINOs/whatever Democrat isn't insane.
The best part is when you add up all the shit these countries get from Europe, Canada, etc. It's a significant minority of some of their entire economies. Even if the federal government is insanely wasteful on taxation despite easily having enough money to run the country, pay the debts, and redistribute wealth to the people, I'm all for taxing this shit more if it keeps them from crashing in my country on their dime.
