Well, she graduated from an art school in NYC, which implies that she had the money to pay rent and attend a four year Bachelor program. If she had an infinite access to funds that isn’t particularly a bad thing - it just means that she had more time to dedicate to her artistic career, if she didn’t procrastinate. There are other possible factors of how she got renown actors to star in hew show, which may include the revenue from a successful Hazbin Hotel pilot on YouTube and its merch and a marketing team with good diplomacy skills. Or she just sells drugs or furry porn and can afford whatever she wants.

I personally feel like I should stop watching it since every episode is just getting worse and worse in my eyes, but I'm already 2 seasons deep. The sunk cost has kicked in.

I’ve been watching both shows for the visual aesthetic appeal, as someone who grew up in a social circle of web artist personalities and was heavily exposed to plenty of unhinged over-the-top cartoons. It’s obvious in Vivziepop’s works that she went through the same experience while growing up. Those slender character designs are possibly the largest guilty pleasure of mine and I usually can’t help myself but to fall for their artistic appearance, regardless of their personality characteristics and how terribly written they are. Heck, I used to like Stolas’s design so much when season one was already going that I used to have him on my wallpaper for sometime (it was a cool artwork, so shut up).

I first watched Hazbin out of sheer curiosity and the pilot really hooked me. I found the premise interesting, thought the character designs were neat, music was nice, and pilot Alastor was fun. The HuniCasts done by Ashley Nichols with the pilot VAs were also extremely entertaining (which Viv of course had to eventually suck much of the fun out of by banning out-of-character donation requests). With Helluva, I mostly saw it as something to tide me over while waiting for Hazbin, but soon found myself enjoying season 1.

I'd be lying if I said I disliked Hazbin, but it's more of a guilty pleasure now. Helluva can get fucked though.

I first came across this thread as posts were already sharing sketches from the second HB episode and updates on whether HH would be getting a series. I went back to start of the thread to catch myself up on what I missed along with seeing both pilots and the first two episodes of HB. Since then, I've watched it to engage in conversation on here especially since several of us have come up with better ideas for both shows than what has been presented.

Honestly. I was introduced to the show before the A24. Found it retarded, just stuck around then series released. Realized it was a bigger disappointment then most of the audience who watched it are to their parents. Decided to criticize it. Found this thread. Realized this series is a lost cause.

Viv encouraged me to read the Bible more frequently. That and her shows really embued me with the realization that demons are absolutely pathetic.

If HB was good, there'd be lynch mobs hunting demons, while not-Blackrock funds "Demons Rights" activists. The twist would then be that not-Blackrock is run by demons themselves.

"You can see she is forcing a smile in the family pictures" or "This just proves that Stella never loved Octavia". They say the critiques of this show are reaching, but seeing an actual happy family photo and they're still "Stella is a bitch, and Stolas is the true good parent".

Also love how they believe Stolas is taking those "happy pills" solely because of Stella. Because obviously, that's how depression works.

The ALVINE channel, who makes "God in Hellaverse" has apparently completely fallen for Stool's ASS + Bleurghlitz content, posting non-stop shorts featuring these two. I don't even know why I bother to check if they posted new content, with hopes it's going to be an interesting animation. It is, as the teenagers say: brainrot. Guess I was hoping for those swanky designs and such, but I understand why they were changed (Patreon and such).
