WhatifAltHist / Rudyard Lynch - History youtuber, galaxy brained, no credentials and no sex

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.

It is absolutely bizarre he touches on a lot of the same topics he did during his psychotic rants, but severely toned down and without any of the mystic elements.
I'm glad you also noticed this, because I've tried my best to document the theory that most of what Rudyard talks about is primarily about himself and the subjects he talks about are tangential, and many of his positions are driven by resentment rather than actually believing them. He makes a video about the school system, it's all about how it's a failure with anecdotes about he did poorly in school; he makes a video about leftism, it's all about how leftism is a failure with anecdotes how he hated having leftist family members and teachers; he makes a video about bureaucracy, it's all about how it's a failure with anecdotes about how evil bureaucrats want to make his life miserable and full of paperwork he doesn't want to do; etc. When you start paying more attention (which is hard given how much content he puts out) it becomes hard not to notice that it's mostly just about himself, like the rants are.

I finally started getting around to watching the archives of the rants he posted and after a couple hours I was surprised how much of it was similar to his normal videos. Obviously the seriously schizophrenic parts about being a god or something and the allegations were out of place, but the unabashed egotism, narcissism, and resentment were all still there. The only difference to me was that these rants were explicitly about himself whereas in his videos they were cloaked under the subject he talked about. In the rant, for example, he spent a fair amount of time sharing personal stories about how he was a victim of leftism and bureaucracy because he had to wake up early to go to school and he had to do a lot of things like extracurriculars and homework that he didn't want to do. Except that in his video about the school system being a failure he already complained about the exact same thing, but instead of outright saying "I hate the school system because I was a failure and bad at it" he critiques the school system in broader language, then afterwards using those same anecdotes found in the rants.

I believe that in Rudyard's mind, this huge rant he posted really wasn't thought of as much different than his normal videos, which is why he didn't expect such a backlash to happen. Regardless about whether he made this as a product of a drug bender, schizophrenia, or otherwise, it's becoming clear that the fundamentals of this have been building up for a while now.

I find it interesting in that he's part of the first generation of Zoomers to enter the "Thunk Tube" space, and one of things I am noticing is they are all really seething about everything going on. As a Millenial, I know shit sucks, and my generation in general sucks, but I don't mald about it all the time and try and work with what I have. Which seems to be the norm for most right leaning millennials.

The Zoomers though, hoo boy, they are really unhinged ngl. Makes me wonder what's going to happen when Gen Alpha discover Webcams and Microphones. Man made horrors beyond our comprehension most likely.

The quintessential Millenial Meme is clown world. Everything sucks and is falling apart. May as well find joy in it. The quintessential Zoomer meme seems to be Chudjack. Everything sucks, nothing will be done about it, billions must die, but won't, because nothing ever happens.

>the world is shit and everyone sucks
>i am perfect though, it's everything else that needs to change according to my personal beliefs
he shits on gnostics a bit in his latest vid, which makes sense when he's pretty much the anti-gnostic. he also praises marcus aurelius and his meditations in pt 1 of the rant, while contradicting almost everything aurelius wrote about, to the point that I wonder if he actually read the book. I genuinely hope the OCD takes off, I'd love to see how he performs in an actual leadership position.

also is there any info on this Merrick guy? Re-listening to some of the ranting and he mentions him a lot. Does he have a channel or something to check out? wonder how much influence he actually has on our boy.

Do you have a full name for this "Merrick" individual to go off of and do you have a timestamp for when he brings him up specifically in the rants?

Not big surprise, considering that many zoomers in their early 20s are either unemployed, living with their parents, or are studying in expensive universities with low faith in any tannable job prospects. Most of the time they don't have any control over it either, so it's only natural that we're gonna see that angst full force, particularly since internet algorithms continuously reward inflammatory or radical takes... and those that do it enough to make a career out of ranting are typically not mentally sane. Most Millennials are old enough to have gotten their shit together on some level and those that are still ranting about shit like how 90s cartoons were better immediately oust themselves as peaking at middle school or still being manchildren in their 30s and 40s, which just rubs people the wrong way.

@FeatherPlucker I understand exactly what you're saying, and I agree it's real. I don't think it's nearly as big or powerful as you are worried that it is. They don't have nearly enough boy-wives to offer up. If your movement is about weird boy-sex the group with the most boy-wives is going to win. AF has the same weird "it's only gay if you're catching, and even then they can pretend to be a girl" thing going on and there are way more trannies trying to be AF catboys than putting them selves out for the weird Greek statue guys and the tech bros. AF shows us that pretending to be not-gay isn't enough to sustain a political movement in the modern era, though.

he's mentioned very frequently in all 3 parts, introduced at 2:01:32 in part 1. Merrick Wright appears to be his full name, 21 y/o from Boston. He's mentioned a lot alongside the ayahuasca shit too which makes me wonder how involved he is in that.

That person is Marek Wright, he was brought up here previously a few months ago.

Here is him being referenced on Twitter by Whatifalthist

Rudy can't just do a little silly thing, he has to tell Marek about it, tell people he told Marek about it and then post "So what did you think about my little social experiment, bet you weren't expecting that :smug: "

What a complete sperg.

I don't know if this has been posted before, but here is his facebook profile:

and his mother's:

There is a post on her profile talking about how cold her house is. I remember Rudyard complaining about how he was freezing every day.

And this post:

Apparently she visited Canada and either (A) didn't bring Rudyard along (but brought his sister) or (B) specifically didn't mention him

Edit: nvm, his facebook profile got posted on the first page, but i dont think it's been brought up recently

Do people here genuinely hate Rudyard or is this some new sort of high level trolling I'm not accustomed to?
I dont see people here actually hating him or wanting anything bad to happen, he's just a really sensitive guy with a huge ego and people like poking fun at him. His takes are also fun to dissect and talk about, sometimes his takes are on point other times not even close.

We keep the high IQ trolling shenanigans quarantined in the KingCobraJFS thread.

a) He had this video ready and planned foe a long time ago and the 'autobiography' stuff was a spur of the moment drug-fueled psychosis decision.
I think Rudyard's recording process is definitely weird because in some videos for example you can hear references to a date an older video was posted and then you can look and realize that segment was probably recorded months ago. And there can also be subtle differences in the recording quality which makes me think these videos are a bunch of different takes recorded at a bunch of different times stitched together

One thing I find funny about this guy is how he complains about stuff “el modern feminine males” and the like and looks like a literal soyjak. Also funny as in one video he called himself attractive. Fucking delusional if you have seen the man’s face.
