I would say that many of them want kids as much as anyone else (thus the birthing people push). However acknowledging the reproductive nature of sex would merely remind them how, no matter how hard they try or how much money and chemicals they throw at the problem, they'll ultimately never truly be able to fit into society's conception of their chosen gender.
