How the Trust is set up will depend very much on whether or not it is subject to bankruptcy protection. For example, who are the trustees? Is it just Rekieta? Or is it the rest of his family? If it's the latter they may have told Rackets to pound sand because if Rackets can't pay, the Creditors can go after them. So the house will be foreclosed and sold.

He also neglected to pay his property taxes on at least one of his properties and his dad had to pay it. I could see him simply deciding not to pay his mortgage.

This is false. It's a normal mortgage. Revers mortgages are a different animal. He got a loan that collateralized with his house. He needed to pay monthly. He stopped paying.
