The compfag defense is this allows demo to pick off high priority classes such as medics without giving them an opportunity to make any form of counterplay, as you might not even be able to tell that the demoman was there to begin with.

Vorobey a couple of years back dropped this trolling video that was just fucking awful. It was just him getting on to Turbine and insulting people over voice chat, he privated it shortly after but man if only I had had the thought to save it. It was before any of the hacker drama shit so I doubt anyone has it saved from the few hours he had it up (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6s5Ht7rU0AY this is the link)

If you scroll comments on the video he posted after you can find some salt from him about it.

exactly why? ah, for the comic, for a new server and for the fact that there are no more bots (although they will be back at any moment, valve just needs to abandon the game a little bit more).
even though I never played in the “golden” era, it's pretty sad that the community is satisfied with so little and accepts with open arms the troon shit

2024 has been the best year the game has had since 2018; but that's saying very very little. Which goes to show you how low the bar is, how little anything of note has happened within those years, and how shit the state of the game has and continues to be.
We got 64 bit support, Castaway servers (goes to show you how lackluster community servers are today that it's a highlight), Valve finally doing the bare minimum to deal with the cheater bots, Gas Passer "bug fix", rise of the pro-Quickplay movement, and the surprising release of the 7th comic that took nearly 8 years.

I am so glad I uninstalled TF2. I'll fuck about in Animal Crossing New Horizons, I'll maybe play RuneScape 3 from time to time, but I'm no longer wasting any more time or attention on Team Fortress 2 as a game. It's not what it was in the first 5 years anymore, it's a horrifying twisted abomination of a shell of its former self. I wish Valve would take TF2 out behind the proverbial woodshed and put a proverbial bullet in its proverbial fucking head, and cancel all Workshop item payments for good so the faggots who suckle off Valve's teat have to go get a fucking actual job, probably flipping burgers at McDonald's.

I know it's hard to keep track of what's been posted where, what with a grand total of 11 TF2 threads on this forum, but this was posted on December 19th in the TF2 Emporium thread, just FYI. It was also somewhat heavily discussed for a bit in there, screencaps of funny comments were posted, laughs were had.

The last time I played, about 3 months ago, my experience was mostly negative. I mean sure I had fun topscoring and dominating, yeah, but all of that fun is thrown right out when my team kicks me for saying "nigger" or "faggot". Half of the games I played would result in me getting kicked. When did tf2 players become so retarded and gay? Oh and let's not forget sniper - the worst class in the game. Any time there was a good sniper on the enemy team (hell, even a mediocre one) my fun would be completely ruined. Sniper is a poorly designed class and anyone who plays him is a dirty smelly nigger.
I've had more fun playing this game in fucking 2019.
