The mismanagement of money by Rekieta, if this is the case, is staggering. No wonder they needed to sell the second property.
He was struggling to pay for his primary residence, meanwhile he was wasting (hundreds of?) thousands on a failing lawsuit over calling someone a pedo on the internet, which could have been fixed with a simple apology - or later on, an out of court settlement. He spent god knows how much on illicit substances, got caught with them. This instantly tanks his already failing career, which was already circling the drain because of his addiction to fancy whiskey and cocaine.
Despite his case being as run of the mill, slam-fucking-dunk, as can be he decides to try and fight it tooth and nail instead of pleaing out at the first opportunity, with all the extra billable hours and retainer fees that would include. He spent tens of thousands to ensure he could have a drink when he got bailed. He paid for his own lawyer for the CHIPS case to 'get his kids back', despite him acceding to all the states requirements for their return anyway.
Never mind all the discretionary expenditure on shit-tier art, cars, holidays and April.
On another note, I have seen that collection agencies in the US wear bodycams when they go to repossess properties...
