I'm not a terribly original man, so most of them are fairly basic. God of the Sun and Light, or the sea, love, shit like that. I give each of them a bit of a twist in how they deal with mortals or the role they play in the setting's major conflicts, but they're fairly rote otherwise.any interesting ones in particular i canrip offtake inspiration from?
The two I consider most fun or worth stealing are Curio and Mar'ghel.
Curio is the God of Trinkets, Deals, and Curiosities. He doesn't really take a particular interest in valuable things, so much as he takes an interest in peculiar things. Items with bizarre magical enchantments, lost relics, even some otherwise useless but sentimental things can catch his eye. His realm is an endless warehouse of doohickeys and gizmos where nothing is quite as it seems.
I had a warlock player that used Curio as a patron, it was fun.
Mar'ghel is the Mother of Monsters and Queen of the Hunt. She often takes the shape of a gigantic canine beast with a maw of teeth and three eyes, dozens, possibly hundreds of blades, arrows, spears, and axes protrude from her hide, reminders of prior hunts and the chosen few who managed to strike her down and become her champions.
She is responsible for most of the monsters you'd encounter in the setting that aren't explicitly mortal-made or alien in nature.
That's pretty much Daggerfart to a T. I distinctly remember that player death has to be something you discuss with the DM and Player to make sure that you don't ruin their character's story.I skimmed through what can be charitably consider their rulebook and its just a buncha half-assed suggestions and "You make your own rules!"
Why not just co-write a FUCKING book at that point?
