New Orleans: Multiple people dead on Bourbon Street as 'car ploughs through crowd'​

Reports suggested a vehicle had driven through a crowd on New Orleans' extremely popular Bourbon Street, killing multiple people.​

Multiple people have allegedly been killed after a vehicle ploughed through a crowd of revellers on New Orleans' famous Bourbon Street in the US, according to local media and eyewitnesses.

New Orleans Police Department said that a lorry may have run down the group on the street, which is in the Louisiana city's French Quarter.

Witnesses speaking to CBS News claimed that a vehicle crashed into a crowd at high speed, and then the driver got out and started firing a weapon, with police returning fire.

It was unknown how many people have been killed or injured, but unconfirmed reports on social media claimed it is a "mass casualty" incident.

The incident allegedly occurred around 3.15am local time at the intersection of Bourbon Street and Iberville.

In a post on X, a journalist at local news outlet WGNO-TV wrote: "NOPD source states that as many as 10 fatalities after driver in pickup truck plowed into crowd on Bourbon Street.

"Multiple more injuries. Mayor and police chief on scene," he added, though this has not yet been confirmed.

I don't know the race so I'll just write out the motivations for each one.

If white:

• Incel / chud
• Jealous of the many normal people partying and having fun

If arab

Right now I lean towards a white perpetrator since killing partygoers is a mainly a white incel thing. If it was Arab it probably would have been timed for Christmas and targeted a religious area (like a church). Black is the second most likely but the fact that this was clearly a planned terror attack makes me think that it wasn't some Darrell Brooks style chimp out. I don't underestimate the depravity of nigger violence tho.

Not going to guess race or religion of the perpetrator but whoever did it had to be somewhat motivated if they are said to gone around police barricades, ran down people in the first place and then after crashing into an aerial work platform they immediately got out and began shooting at those around them as well as law enforcement.

Moments after New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell called Wednesday’s tragedy a “terrorist attack,” FBI Assistant Special Agent Alethea Duncan said, “this is not a terrorist event.”
But it’s not alarming to see officials “not maybe perfectly connected on how they’re going to message this and present it to the public at this early hour,” former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe told CNN Wednesday morning.
It’s possible the mayor used the term “terrorist attack” colloquially – without reflecting the FBI’s formal definition for terrorism, said Juliette Kayyem, CNN’s national security, intelligence and terrorism analyst.
“This is an act of terror in the sense that it is terrorizing a city. Ten people are dead. The city is closed down. And the mayor may have been using … the term “terror” as a reflection and a description of what this kind of violence does to a city, regardless of the perpetrator’s intent,” Kayyem said.
But for the FBI to determine an act was terrorism, “you have to prove a certain kind of intent,” Kayyem said.
The FBI defines domestic terrorism as “violent, criminal acts committed by individuals and/or groups to further ideological goals stemming from domestic influences, such as those of a political, religious, social, racial, or environmental nature.”
The agency defines international terrorism as “Violent, criminal acts committed by individuals and/or groups who are inspired by, or associated with, designated foreign terrorist organizations or nations (state-sponsored).”
The mayor and the FBI agent did agree on which agency is now leading the investigation: the FBI.
The FBI “investigates many things for the purpose of determining whether or not they are terrorist acts,” McCabe said. “They could still be in the phase of trying to make that determination for themselves.”

CNN just updated with this. They totally don't want people to speculate that the perpetrator is black, muslim, or illegal.

(Jews don't interact with the secular legal system unless they have to and both parties choose to settle their disputes via a halacic courts and use the secular court to uphold the rulings-think out of court arbitration but with more steps. Of course murder, child cases and the like aren't through these "courts", it's more civil (and religious) in nature and everything knows that the secular system has supreme authority. for you Catholics it's similar to the Roman Rota/Ecclesiastical court(s).)
