Troons can't be genocided. They're not an ethnic or ethnoreligious group. In the same way you can't genocide magic the gathering fans or sonichu fans. It's a category error.

The definition of genocide relates to trying to exterminate an ethnic group (and it doesn't have to be outright mass killings, but also includes mass sterilization and other things) because it's possible to eliminate them or their cultural heritage genetically. Troons or magic the gathering fans don't reproduce genetically so there's nothing to exterminate in that manner.

I'm reminded of how these people in general also like to say shit like 'retard', 'cunt', and such are slurs. I'm convinced that, similarly to how in their efforts they often end up being even more sexist/racist than their opponents, they think 'retard' is specifically making fun of folks with down syndrome. I can't think of any reason why they would become so incensed over low IQ other than thinking they're both the same thing, since I've worked around a handful of people with downs and as adults they've been pretty normal and well-adjusted. So I'll ask what is apparently so verboten about using a word that, medically, refers specifically to low IQ? That's so incredibly innocuous that I can't think of any other reason they'd be upset over its use.

In all honestly, I feel like that social media as a whole is starting to collapse in on itself and has been for years, but the results of trying to compensate for this have been getting more and more desperate recently: Facebook giving any blank bots they got with generated names and bios, Twitter and its wannabes growing more and more politically skewed, Reddit and the rest just being themselves. They're all deep down knowing their time is finite now.

Unfortunately, Bluesky will probably implode like Tumblr because of a heavy crackdown on pornography and illicit content. Already, there is substantial public outrage over the platform’s proliferation of socially unacceptable material, such as CP or gore porn.

I can see the admins suddenly banning or censoring general pornography to avoid any backlash or controversy. Unfortunately for them, the sick gooners who regularly participate on this social media site will disperse to other cesspools to show their depravity. This Bluesky exodus, much like the Tumblr Exodus, may ruin some parts of the internet.
