Last volume is the last, they came around 1 a year, which is better than the rest of Fate/ novels.

And why would that be a good thing? It is just a matter of stories being told in a finsihed form and length. Fate already has this situation with Fate/Kaleid liner Prisma Illya and after 10 years, it is still not finished since the manga is still ongoing.

Because there is clearly enough existing content to do it and A1 is pumping a shit ton of cash in. It would be fun as fuck.
 
I finally watched Big Wars, and it was pretty good. It had some excellent tank/landship battles, lots of nice control rooms, and even a space battle! I hope the novels get translated. I could watch this sort of futuristic fleet battle stuff forever; it's so cool. And with this I've seen just about every old sci-fi anime OVA/movie of high quality out there, and I've enjoyed almost every one I've seen (save for Battle Skipper and Sol Bianca). It sucks this is a combination of format and genre that's not coming back any time soon; it's far superior to seasonal anime since there's less time to waste on nothing, and sci-fi ensures there will always be some sort of interesting design to look at or worldbuilding to ponder. The dialogue in these things is really good too; it's like almost every sentence is a grand speech, a history/science lesson, or an impassioned command. People who talk about how "confusing" these OVAs supposedly are have watched too much Death Note-esque anime where every single plot point is overexplained and stated even if we can see what's happening or what will happen. I have no idea why manga is often so much more autistic and poorly-written than anime; if anything you'd think it would be the opposite.
 
Fate is a good microcosm of the state of anime: oversexed garbage based on a porn game that ends up being no better (and often worse) than kids' shows like Digimon. How does this get all the animation budget?

Remember this post when it inevitably falls apart in a few years and you begin seeing it as a scourge. Why couldn't they just make a new kyodai hero anime (why else would they have all those Ultraman monsters in the OP) rather than this oversexed teenage melodrama garbage?

Currently at 23 out of 24 translated chapters. Super suspenseful, really compelling read.
Has some NSFW elements, mainly how it depicts how a cut throat yakuza organization deals with traitors and assassins. There's a female assassin later on and to put it nicely they're not very kind to her.

Also has a live action movie that's a lot less suspenseful and more action-y.
