) a superintelligent AI would presumably eventually take full control of everything (being intelligent enough to either be granted such control or mainupulate its way into getting it) so you wouldn't be able to escape. I guess.
hey thanks for replying and honestly
Yeah I watch a YouTuber who tries various gig economy shit and rents out his Tesla on Turo with predictably horrifying results.
I bet we hear from the owners pretty soon.
name? that sounds like a neat concept for a channel
I refuse to believe that a 20 year service SOF operator married man with children would do this for groyperism or H1B internet autism. If that’s the angle that comes out I hope people here are critical of it. If that’s the angle then this is a psyop orchestrated by Elon and Trump. 100% and no way about it
i mean i assumed it was more by accident, as did as Toddintheshadows pointed out a lot of other people.

a 40 year old veteran of the army renting a cyber truck going to las vegas and staying at a Trump hotel way off the strip and putting fire works and other stuff in the trunk is the sort of retarded thing i could see a /r/The_donald type doing. Like if you're going to be in las vegas on new years why the fuck would you stay at a trump hotel, i literally didn't know it existed until now, its that fucking far from any quality places. even parking right in front of the building is exactly what the sort of douche that rents a cybertruck would do.

him just having a kid and being so shy of retirement also screams "reason to live/celebrate 2025" so it really does feel like an accident, the fact that its one of over a half dozen newsworthy cybertruck related accidental deaths that happened since release might just be a coincidence. everyone admits this piece of shit is a modern day Pinto.

The strange thing is why the truck was parked right at the entrance?

Some other weird rumors:

Also both trucks were rented via the same app, Turo.

Some more digging here:

The rumor about them serving at the same base has been put forward by a news TV journalist: https://x.com/TonyKovaleski/status/1874702541138923837

So it's not exactly confirmed but at least higher up the list than some random fuck on Twitter

Do not obey in advance.

Most of the power of authoritarianism is freely given. In times like these, individuals think ahead about what a more repressive government will want, and then offer

The underlying assumption is that there is no way to escape the AI, not even in death, and that punishment is everlasting. I think that would tip practically everyone's scales towards collaboration.

Nigga this guy was US army special ops...

There's a 124 page thread on Kiwifarms which just discussed how "special" the special ops people are: https://kiwifarms.st/threads/navy-seals-delta-force-and-socom-general.176278/page-124

Implying the money to buy tweeter was elons. It wasn't. AFAIK most of it came from investors.
$13 billion was loans from banks, and about $7 billion from other investors. Musk already had $4 billion worth of Twitter stock, and funded the remaining $20 billion by selling his Tesla shares. His currently remaining stake in Tesla is 12.8%.

I am not trying to downplay this "terrorist attack", but it seems to me that this was only a New Year's Eve Prank. Dude put a bunch of fireworks and firecrackers on the Cybertruck and parked it in front of Trump's building. Elon's shitty car caught on fire from the fireworks and other pyrotechnics and now they are classifying this as a terrorist attack.

What would be the thought process behind that?

It seems like any attempt to making it a prank would inevitably lead to damage and jailtime.

In this case, the dude also ended up burning alive inside the truck.

This is a feature, not a bug, by the way. The Cybertruck automatically locks the doors in case of explosive damage to keep terrorists contained inside. It's the absolute WORST vehicle for terrorists.

"help the ai or get 'I have no mouth and I must scream'd, Chud"
Rokos basil can go fuck itself.
You hear that, ai? BOMB YOU!
It's reddit's basilisk. They just reinvented a vengeful god in the most retarded techbro way possible. It isn't much different than the people who insisted we should start using NFTs or crypto right now because we'll be forced to use them to barter in the future. You'd better start worshiping the basilisk right now, for he is a very vengeful snake and you'll be worshiping him later whether you want to or not. What, you didn't invest in crypto? I hope you enjoy being poor when everyone is using it.

The tech/crypto/AI cycle is always the same.
  • Imagine something stupid
  • Get really excited about the implications
  • Tell everyone they have to join now or get left behind
  • Move onto the next thing until you're either rich or destitute
The survivors are the people who got rich, so they're unbelievably smug and think they're smart and ahead of the curve when they're just lucky.

What would be the thought process behind that?

He drove the car around and it was only stopped for 15 seconds before the car ignited. We don't know how the fire started but if you assume it was manual with a delay, it's possible he panicked or thought he had more than 15 seconds. Or maybe the car lost power and he forgot how to use the manual door release, who knows. The punishment for that would be pretty intense if he actually intended few or little injuries, so I'm going to assume it was an intentional suicide bombing and the guy was GRADE-A RETARDED and thought a bunch of fireworks and small fuel canisters would melt steel beams.

I just realized, too, 3 people in Hawaii died today in one illegal fireworks explosion. Native Hawaiians setting themselves on fire for fun are more effective than this guy. This is also why I'm leaning towards this being a suicide bombing and the guy just thought he'd have a bigger explosion.

Honolulu police said the explosion occurred after someone lit an “aerial cake” — a combination of multiple aerial firework cartridges that resemble a sheet cake — that fell to the side and rocketed into crates of additional caches of pyrotechnics, then erupted outward. Organic material from people hit by the blast was found on windows across the street from the epicenter.

Two women were pronounced dead at the scene, and a third died later at the hospital, police said. Their identities have not yet been released.

Twenty-six people were taken to hospitals, many with significant burn injuries. Sunny Johnson, paramedic supervisor for Honolulu Emergency Medical Services, said at the early morning news conference — as fireworks continued to go off in the background — that it was unclear how many additional victims may have been injured and left before emergency services arrived.

Anyone can look at the video and see that it's a deliberate explosion with lots of small secondary explosions that are probably fireworks. Never mind that it was parked right in front of the doors of Trump Tower. You're reaching hard.

edit: there's footage of what remains in the back of the truck. Canisters of gasoline and firework mortars. So retards can stop with the laughable "it was a Cybertruck malfunction" speculation.

Yeah no batteries dont' blow up like that. This was fertilizer with a hefty amount of diesel, and some gasoline and fireworks also thrown in for a spectacle.
Apparently it’s claimed the batteries didn’t blow up and the fire was just the result of the fireworks and gasoline. I imagine if the batteries did explode, the fire could have gone on for hours.

Looking at that footage again, I wonder if the guy was dead or unconscious the moment all of those fireworks went off right behind him.

Racing fuel was part of the bomb that the perpetrators of the OKC bombing used. I wonder if they were trying to do something similar but didn't do their homework or couldn't get any of the same materials because they're now regulated in the US for that exact reason
Oklahoma City used ammonium nitrate and fuel oil, sensitized with nitromethane (the race fuel you mentioned), however nitromethane is still pretty readily available both at hobby shops (it's a fuel for RC cars and planes) and at race shops.

The VP race gas this dude uses is also sold at race shops.

The real thing that's regulated or at least tracked these days is the purchase of ammonium nitrate fertilizer. Although you could probably get some at Tractor Supply, enough for a small truck like this and not raise too many eyebrows.
