Multiple people have allegedly been killed after a vehicle ploughed through a crowd of revellers on New Orleans' famous Bourbon Street in the US, according to local media and eyewitnesses.

New Orleans Police Department said that a lorry may have run down the group on the street, which is in the Louisiana city's French Quarter.

Witnesses speaking to CBS News claimed that a vehicle crashed into a crowd at high speed, and then the driver got out and started firing a weapon, with police returning fire.

It was unknown how many people have been killed or injured, but unconfirmed reports on social media claimed it is a "mass casualty" incident.

The incident allegedly occurred around 3.15am local time at the intersection of Bourbon Street and Iberville.

In a post on X, a journalist at local news outlet WGNO-TV wrote: "NOPD source states that as many as 10 fatalities after driver in pickup truck plowed into crowd on Bourbon Street.

"Multiple more injuries. Mayor and police chief on scene," he added, though this has not yet been confirmed.

Dead suspect looks like a stereotypical arab terrorist

Is there confirmation of this? Were they there at the same time? Also the connection being an army base would fan the conspiracy theories way more than International Jihad.

It’s confirmed by multiple sources that they served at the same base, but I’ve found nothing that says they were there at the same time

in reality, if they weren't there at the same time, and had different motives (do we know livelsberger's motive?) i'm not sure how they could be linked, other than that the army clearly needs to do an investigation into this base and see if anything is going on that they were previously too stupid to notice.

I’m used to authorities releasing descriptions of criminals on the run to help the public identify and prevent them escaping.
I'm not saying this is what happened, but it's a possibility. Consider for a moment that those accomplices are actually undercover FBI agents who were part of an operation to entrap Jabbar. Supplying him with fake devices and planting some fake devices of their own to convince him they are legit ISIS followers. FBI were going to swoop in and save the day and bust another terrorist, but the plan didn't go as planned. If you already know who those accomplices are and they're one of your own, you wouldn't be broadcasting their descriptions and photos out to the public.

edit:
Surveillance footage identified a second vehicle, registered to the same owner as the Ford-F150, that ran into the crowd Wednesday morning and was observed following the suspect's pickup truck. Footage captured three men and one woman placing the first device at Orleans and Bourbon streets and then tracked them to the additional locations.

If they were LEO, they would be following him closely and who better to follow him than his handlers, someone who wouldn't spook him.

There could be a radicalization cell inside the base but again, there is no indication the Livelsberger dude was an Islamist or even sympathetic to the cause...

Two guys from the same base, use the same app to rent two vehicles they use to commit two terror acts on the SAME DAY, and you are really think it may not be connected? Am I getting that right?

This is sus, but it was Fort Bragg, wasn´t it a big hub for troops?

This is very dumb.

With completely distinct methodology, maybe completely different motives.

Yes.
Bro, what are the odds you and your coworker will buy and wear the same shirt to work on the same day, much less commit terror acts on the same day? Give me a break.

The base was fucking massive and there's no indication they served at the same time.

If you live in an area close to southern Louisiana, organizations are asking for blood donations for the injured victims.
I want to clarify: regional partners are surging supply to NOLA, so if you donate anywhere in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, or Mississippi, you're helping, because you're backfilling blood being transferred to the affected area.

One has tds one has sjs.

One rented an electric Ford because fast quiet and possibly less scrutiny than regular rentals. One rented a cybertruck because "it makes a statement about Leon and drumpf" and possibly less scrutiny than regular rentals.

Turo is not new at all I've known people with experience with it years ago one as a renter and one on the other end as a carlord. It's where you go for something unique or possibly you may be able to use it under a fake id easier (very probably sounds like)
