The Dems are flanking from the right on this issue. If Trump is being Trump, he’s trying to see who’s flanking. Why would that be? To see whom he can make a deal with regarding the matter, should the need arise. Another angle would be to rile up public resentment towards the concept. Ultimately forcing the Tech Right—and those with them— to move to the right on the matter. (Best that either is done ASAP as to minimize loss of political momentum/capital from DNC flank.)

Porn can be bad for some people. Its like any other addiction. Just because there's drunk drivers doesn't mean we should ban all sober drivers. Getting rid of porn isn't the answer. It would just cause it to go underground like before porno chic. And it would become more dangerous.

Because the govermment went broke in the Depression, so FDR needed to raise money and that meant bringing back liquor taxes. Simple as that. And while there are unconstitutional amendments like the Fourteenth and Fifteenth Amendment which interferes in states' rights, Prohibition is not unconstitutional because the federal government always had the power of commerce between states.
