Anthony Fantano / TheNeedleDrop - "The Internet's Busiest Music Nerd"™, heelturned since 2017, slowly becoming smug SJW, threw Sam Hyde under the bus

This is all I can be bothered to find. I am sure he has reviewed tons of right-leaning musicians over the years, but I don't care to notice. I think he fails to realise (or doesn't want us to realise) that most bands will not be outspoken about their political views out of fear of being "cancelled" (much like him himself) and being blackballed by the industry. Ever heard of PR training Fagtano?

Frank Zappa - moderate conservative or something of a libertarian (by todays terms, definitely not right-wing)
The Smiths - Morrissey. LOL (also can expect the others to have become right-leaning in their old age. That's not to say The Smiths weren't a leftist band - at the time)
Joy Division - Ian Curtis voted for Margaret Thatcher. (also can expect the others to have become right-leaning in their old age. That's not to say Joy Division weren't a leftist band - at the time)
m.i.a - Anti-vaxx and Trump supporter. Probably right-wing by Fantano's standards.
Burzum - Varg Vikernes - not really right-wing but a white nationalist. Probably right-wing by Fantano's standards.
The 1975 - Not really right-wing either. But apparently the lead singer is hates muslims or something. Probably right-wing by Fantano's standards.

how you a critic and ain't sell no records?

The pot called the kettle black.
You know it's over if egghead is able to dunk on this fuckin' tard. Unironic Fantano W. Say what you will about him, I do believe he at least enjoys music.

If you are not familiar with Finn McKenty, he ran a successful music youtube channel, The Punk Rock MBA where he would document the success & or subsequent downfall of a band from a marketing perspective. He started off covering more hardcore/punk related bands & quickly branched out to mainstream bands. Here is the interview where he proceeds to take a massive dump, roll around in it and then fling it directly into the eyes of his fanbase.
The TLDW is Finn "never cared about music" & he made his bag so he is out of youtube and going to focus on his "Marketing bro" self-help bullshit.

This hypocrisy spits in the face of his whole "punk rock/HxC" image. The powerviolence band, Spazz, has a song about Finn McKenty from the early '90s. Finn actively wrote articles for online hipster zines like Metal Sucks. He also liked to brag about having Hatebreed & Morbid Angel tatts. While I can sympathize with Finn that I could not even pretend to care about investing time in making vids about shit bands like System of a Down & Linkin Park, there seems to be something else at play.

The underlying theme seems to be in Finn's fence sitting, milquetoast videos, by providing such hot takes like nigger music is the new pop punk. He also did a good job at pissing off certain fanbases (see his vid on Black Metal which he actively hates) and couldn't take the heat. The other under-underlying theme seems to be that, allegedly, Finn met his soon to be Korean wife while she was 16 & he was in his thirties, and proceeded to marry her as soon as she turned 18. So the grooming & pdf allegations were following him everywhere he streamed.

I liked him when he was writing for Metal Inquisition under the alias Sargeant D. After his transition to video seeing his Semitic mug and hearing his West Coast mewling got old really fast.

Unfortunately Finn has the perfect Lolcow behavior, i remember watching his livestreams and everyone in chat would be praising and support him, and if just ONE guy came in with a "you suck lol" he would spend the rest of the streaming just ranting about how Metal fans suck (they do lol), how people just want the same nostalgia copy paste crap video (they do lol), and anyone who would dare to talk him into "we support you, we like your content etc" he'd just fight them off.
I don't think he actually "does not care about music", he does; but i'm sure he actually hates System of a down and some other bands that he himself told to people on Twitch that he paid people do write the videos for him just to get that bag, with all that said, why are people makinga fuss of all of this? people on those videos are commenting stuff like "We are the (le reddit army) music community... don't ever mess with us....", that's so childish lol

He frequently mentioned her on social media and his videos, so it wasn't a dark secret of his. Even in his early Sergeant D days, he'd still hook up with fangirls and flirt with 'em on his blog. Funny how he embraced the lecherous old punk guy stereotype.

He claimed to have made some nice change due to Swiffer, something about the patents. So, it wasn't like he was hurting for money.

For me it was when he apologized for his past edgy behavior by claiming he had some form of autism in one of his videos. He was conservative but as Javelin mentioned, fence walked a lot and wouldn't comment regarding his views or would be supportive of stuff like troons in the scene.

Pretty much every rapper he likes to fellate and worship is a conservative. Just because a rapper complains that his race is beset upon by whitey doesn't make them a liberal, or Fantano is dogwhistling that all rap music is actually shit whenever he makes comments like that.
DMX has a whole verse in a song where he talks about how much he hates faggots. Fantano probably just handwaves it away and only wants to demonize WASP conservatives.

No culture besides white liberal millennials like faggots, which is so funny to me when faggots like this say conservative can't make art when pretty much every culture before the 20th century hated faggotry and made art better than whatever drug addled jewish homosexual can today.

"Conservatives have never made great art and never will and are all actually my racist jobless uncle at thanksgiving that I'm still mad at 15 years later because he called me a fag" is a goofy ass position that I've seen plastered on the internet so many times, it's bananas.

No, Chomo, just because YOU never bothered looking at conservative art (or did and never bothered to check and see if the artist was conservative) does not mean that good conservative art flat out doesn't exist, never existed and will never exist.

How the fuck can you even claim something that fucking stupid?

The literal progenitor of punk, The Ramones, was half made up of hard-line republican Reagan supporters, and Johnny Rotten of the Sex Pistols is a full blown Trump fan.

He doesn't actually believe any of this "right-wingers can't make good art" nonsense. He's pushed out this take before several times in the past and it's clear it's just a desperate ploy for validation. It's been obvious for a while that he no longer has any real passion for music. He desperately wants to get in with the left-liberal twitter millennials that he for some reason thinks are cool. I assume he'd like to transition his Fantano channel to doing breadtubesqe content, but the problem is he clearly doesn't have the political know how for it. And that's saying a lot since it's not like the bar is all that high over there nowadays.
