The irony is Homelander is the most famous character. People use him for memes and shit a lot. He's the only one I know of and I don't even watch The Boys.

I liked season one but that's about it. Once Stormfront mentioned radicalizing 4chan, I mentally punched out. Only watched the until the third season before I had it downloaded on an intercontinental flight incase the wifi crapped out (which it did). Got two episodes deep into season four when it came out and haven't watched since.

There’s another incident I forgot to mention. When there was a Backerkit campaign for Lackadaisy going on, Viv donated $5000 for the Associate Producer tier, where either her name or her company name would show up in the credits. According to Tracy, Lackadaisy’s creator, she tried to suggest that Viv should rescind the pledge, which Viv refused, and Tracy decided to decline the pledge herself. Despite Tracy telling her that she wanted to keep the decline private, Viv decided to publicly tweet it out as soon as the decline happened.

Considering Viv’s audience and people finding out about a Lackadaisy worker’s Twitter likes about trans people in sports on top of that, it caused a shitstorm. The actual reason for the pledge being declined in the first place is kept private since Tracy doesn’t want to betray the individual’s privacy.

I would say her knowledge isn't even lukewarm but below that. Viv did not pay attention in Bible studies classes at all! Nothing really screams Christian values or Abrahamic beliefs, I think if your going to make a critical piece if media about religion you need to at least study it. I've been seeing people do tweets of the show Morel Orel. Saying that it ran so Helluva/Hazbin could walk. And that is quite frankly insulting as at least it makes an effort and shows realistic (spoof) of stuff that actually happens to people who follow/have followed Christianity.

That's probably the best way to describe it without using a shitload of buzzwords. It's very self-indulgent. Very "don't care about form, just use gesture," "don't care about clarity or shape design, just add points and make the limbs as thin as possible," "don't care about color theory, just add red with some black and white." If you compare that design to now,

you can see how much clearer the new one is. Alastor and others still have those traits, so I can only guess she's been changed because she's supposed to be in a real show. You have to make parents share some traits with their children to show they're related, it's basic visual storytelling. So if one's a blonde self-insert, the parents usually are too.

It could work if it was like it was self aware/ self criticized. I mean there are tons of musicals that have darker meanings and plays that deal with more adult things. Some examples I can think of at the top of my head.

I think the reason why they work is because the whole time you stay in this darker world. But in H.H or H.B it's WAY too nice and pleasant like if no one knew this was Hell they would think they were in Detroit or LA. It's too kid friendly, where's a Mad Max Dystopia or a "I Have No Mouth I Must Scream" unspeakable torture beyond human comprehension?

The joke about Homelander in the comic was that he was a juvenile idiot, a glorified attack dog for the government, just a big dumb brute with an ego who acted on impulse (adam mckay in fact said he could envision Homelander being one of mitt romneys secretaries for his 2012 prez run, back when he was attached to the project). The whole donald trump comparison just doesn't work and is extremely stupid, makes the show even less meaningful than the comic, it's like taking the Odyssey and turning it into percy jackson. Likewise Viv turning hell into this hip and cool place with sex and sodomy is just taking a very complex topic and removing all the nuance, in this case it probably works counter to what was intended. If you read dantes inferno or at least take a look at the paintings, dores woodcuts of the circles of hell, it's a lot more complex than just place where people go to die. If you're making a show for children, sure turning hell into a high schoolish setting with stripped meaning probably makes sense. How is this show for adults and has less meaning than a 90s disney movie? Stripping things of meaning and nuance is a universal problem I suppose. Modern entertainment, where nuance goes to die.

The Vivziepop design is so, so, so simple that I don't think it's anything. There is nothing unique about her character. There is nothing interesting going on.
She needed the big horns to emphasize the devil part. The black dress with gloves is reminiscent of Jessica Rabbit, but, again, there's 0 details. The hair being blonde is because Charlie is blonde, and she needed to establish the "why." This character was made to look just enough like Charlie to answer some questions, and that's it.

Whereas the character you posted, there's intrigue. I don't know who she is, I don't know what she's from, but she makes me ask questions about her character. For instance, the cut-out on her dress, is it an arrow being shot through her? Or is it a heart, spilling out into her?

It's also a very "evil" dress, the kind you'd expect from Elvira, so it clashes with the crown... But it works.

Not much going on at the moment. Besides it's good to have a place to discuss her style specifically, instead of her shows. I don't know if they'd appreciate us talking about things they went over fifty times already.
