After watching Phil's play of the Dark Souls 1 mod and using the excuse that "they made the healing way harder! It takes so long!" my tisim demanded that I check. I've played Dark Souls 1 an embarrassingly high number of times and it appeared to me that it was the exact same animation and took the same amount of time. I tried to capture a bit of Phil moving before and after the drink so you get a feel for how long he's locked in the animation.
Here's the original:

And the mod:

I'm aware that the mod description says they made "healing more punishable" or something like that. Maybe they made you take more damage if hit while healing? Cause it's the same animation. It takes the exact same amount of time. Keep this in mind when Phil makes this excuse every time he gets hit while drinking during this playthrough. Assuming he ever plays it again after its disappointing low supported premier since wage quitting underperforming games is a good thing now.

probably just lower poise while healing, notice how he facetanks a hit when drinking in the first clip, if he wasn't drinking his character probably would have flinched

"healing more punishable" from the mod is you have 0 poise when healing. That and smaller parry windows (which doesnt matter for dsp) are the only two actual 'hard' changes they made. Everything else makes it much easier.

A counter example of how the mod is easier is outside of healing poise is way stronger and allows you to face tank more attacks you couldnt in the base game.

Which is just hilarious because you could already break Dark Souls 1 by getting Havel's armor set and shrug off attacks from even the strongest bosses. If there's one thing in DS1 that didn't need a buff it's Poise builds

Speaking of hoarding........RGBs........it just dawned on me.....................what do you want to bet he did the whole condo in RGBs. He's too obsessed with them not to have done it. Probably looks like a disco in there now.
Please let DSP actually have developed a hyperfixation for RGBs it would be so fucking funny.
Edit add: Does he have the keyboard/mouse that syncs an RGB effect based on what happens in the game now that he's a mature PC gamer?

His dumbass fell for the TV sync RGBs 100%

This is an incredibly dented question but is “RGB” just the accepted lingo for “LED” now? I assumed it was detractor lingo based on a Philism but now he calls the lights that routinely and I need to check.

They're not cool when other streamers use them, but when Phil uses them they are awesome. Other streamers just hop on the trend in an attempt to fit in and gain popularity but with Phil, they're just a fun way to spruce things up.

Remember that is authentically how he thinks...

Every game, that involves tactics or strategy, will be a complete handholding, even worse than the normal handholding. SOme dent would basically play the game for DSP and tell him what to do, aka Dents play DSP. I would like him to play some RTS game online and completely be overwhelmed with the multitasking, but I know this will never happen and him playing them in singleplayer on the easiest difficulty plus 100% dentholding would just be annoying.

Well, we had a glimpse of Phil playing RTS games way< back when (camcorder recording monitor style)

Could you imagine Phil playing classics like Command & Conquer? Or something new like Iron Harvest? If he wants something chill he might try Might & Magic (though I doubt it would be chill for him but that's beside the point) or maybe one of the Total War games. Heaven forbid he tries something like Crusader Kings or Hearts of Iron (I am Ackdolf Hitlker and I will burn the Jews. wait where is the holocaust option? ACK ACK ACK)

Grand Strategy games are the holy grail of kahntent. He could even make slave trade jokes if he played Victoria 2 and somehow beat the UK/France to colonizing and enslaving big chunks of Africa. However he is way to smooth brained to ever grasp how to play a game like EU4/HOI/Victoria 1, 2 or 3.
