Can this be made the new OP, or at least have the old one link to it?
Good idea, a new OP is needed. I think Nulls effort post on Sam’s proclivities & a basic synopsis of his known history would be good. Not a huge novel in full color but a good old fashioned OP.
There's users working on a new OP.
Couldn’t find anything in PG or in the New OP Project thread, yet, only the post below:
Sam Hyde's Fishtank needs a rewrite.
I wrote it the first week of season one, and there have now been almost 4 more. I genuinely dont have the time to keep up with it and have been trying to hand it off since season 1 ended.
Which looks like the rewrite is for the Fishtank thread (found in Internet Famous) not Sam's thread itself.
@Null ’s effort post a few pages back would make a great major segment for a new OP. I looked at this threads current OP & it’s slim to nothing. Clearly started as more of a fan thing.
I’m getting a little fatigued from seeing super long new OP’s with colors everywhere (that sometimes crash the page from easy loading) by the same few people, as far as rewrites go. It’d be nice to have an informative OP that isn’t some overdone thing, just a classic, good OP. Some history of Sam & his career, some personal life stuff, (particularly the informative post Null just made would be good to include,) & then a brief conclusion on where Sam is at now, to get it up to date.
I’m not enough of a Sam expert to do this from scratch. I’d be willing if I had the info to throw it together, though I’m wondering if someone is already doing that & just hasn’t started in in PG yet, or what? To be clear, I don’t really want to write the new OP for this thread, but noticed it’s not currently being worked on, & it’d be cool if someone who is more versed in the lore did it. Nothing super long with all kinds of extraneous bullshit & all the colors of the rainbow. Just classic summaries & main controversies so far, with known history info. Nulls recent post was on point. It’d just need a history segment before all the Markey stuff, then a closing “where things stand now” ending. Something like that would be nice.
