A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

You have had the chance, time and time again since 2016, to propel yourself into the position of PM and every time, EVERY TIME you took the choice to abandon the obvious road to do nothing.
There is no plausible series of events since 2016 that would have resulted in Farage becoming PM.

Sex and Islam...and the decline of the West

By Andrea Widburg

I worked for 20 years with a lawyer who was the most brilliant man I’ve ever known. After 9/11, he said something to me that I’ve never forgotten: Islam is all about controlling women for sexual access. Muslim men sequester their women for their private access, and they view all non-Muslim women as available for sexual use by Muslim men. Their war on the West is to maintain their women and obtain Western women. (And, of course, the big ticket item for martyrdom is those 72 heavenly virgins each martyr gets to despoil.)

I thought of my friend’s insight when I read an essay from The Telegraph entitled “How the grooming gangs scandal was covered up.” The subtitle is, “The child victims of rape were denied justice and protection from the state to preserve the image of a successful multicultural society.” (I do not believe the essay is behind a paywall, but if it is, you can also find it here.)
The article offers some insights into how Muslims believe non-Muslim women deserve to be treated—and you’d better have a strong stomach:

Just another one of Kier's cronies being bunged off to the watchdog. No doubt she'll be rubber stamped and back on duty within 6 months only for hand wringing a decade down the line along with "how could we have known?"
A member of Sir Keir Starmer’s top team has referred herself to the government’s independent ethics adviser over her links to the deposed prime minister of Bangladesh.

Treasury minister Tulip Siddiq, who is responsible for tackling financial crime, will be investigated by standards watchdog Sir Laurie Magnus amid questions over her aunt Sheikh Hasina, who was removed from power after protests against her rule last year.

Questions have been swirling around Ms Siddiq since she was named in a probe launched by the new Bangladeshi government’s anti-corruption commission. She is alleged to have helped her aunt siphon off £5.2bn intended to be used building eight large-scale projects including a nuclear power plant.

She faced fresh scrutiny over the weekend as it emerged she was given a central London flat by a person connected with Hasina’s Awami League party, and that she lived in a property in Hampstead, north London, that was given to her sister for free by an ally of her aunt’s regime.

Amid growing pressure on Ms Siddiq to resign, Sir Keir confirmed she had referred herself to the standards advisor, who investigates potential breaches of the ministerial code and can advise the PM on sanctions for those in breach.

At a press conference on Monday, Sir Keir said: “Tulip Siddiq has acted entirely properly by referring herself to the independent adviser, as she has now done.

“That is why we brought in the new code, to allow ministers to ask the adviser to establish the facts.

“Yes I have confidence in her and that is the process that will now be happening.” As well as referring herself to the watchdog, Ms Siddiq will now no longer go on a trip to China this week alongside Rachel Reeves and Bank of England governor Andrew Bailey, but will stay at home to assist the probe.

Shadow Home Office minister Matt Vickers said: There are clear questions for his friend and anti-corruption minister Tulip Siddiq to answer about allegations made about her. She must be held to the same standards as other ministers in his government, indications so far show that that may not be the case.”

It came after the Sunday Times revealed Ms Siddiq had lived in the Hampstead property given to her then teenage sister Azmina in 2009 by Moin Ghani, a Bangladeshi lawyer who has represented Hasina’s government and has been pictured with Hasina.

Ms Siddiq is also renting a £2.1m home in East Finchley owned by an executive member of the UK wing of Hasina’s Awami League.

Hasina, Bangladesh’s longest-serving prime minister, is now in India after being ousted in August following weeks of violent anti-government protests.

She has been accused by the new Bangladeshi administration of corruption, as well as “massacres, killings and crimes against humanity” including the deaths of at least 800 protesters. Ms Siddiq is one of several family members alleged to have benefited from the corruption, but denies wrongdoing.

Shadow home secretary Chris Philp said: “It is high time for Tulip Siddiq to explain the source of her wealth, and whether any of it comes from the proceeds of her aunt’s alleged corrupt dealings.”

He called for Sir Keir to suspend her from her anti-corruption brief until she has answered any outstanding questions over her aunt’s regime.

Bangladesh’s anti-corruption commission has launched a probe into Ms Siddiq, her UK-based mother Sheikh Rehana Siddiq, and her aunt Ms Hasina, who ruled the country for more than 15 years.

The nuclear plant at the centre of the probe was built by Russian state-backed firm Rosatom, while the deal was signed in the Kremlin a decade ago in a ceremony attended by Ms Siddiq, her aunt and Vladimir Putin.

Just a reminder that if we’d done what she’d done, or a quarter of what Keith Vaz had done, we’d be in prison.

Also, you have lost the Keith Vaz game.

Poppers and washing machines, or was it coke in the curry I forget.
Diane Abbott/Keith V/George Galloway would be good fodder for an actual bri'ish politcow thread I reckon they're still doing stupid shit to this day despite being public menaces to polite society since before I was born.

“Nor will pressure from the people change that. The people are helpless, having willingly (and often smugly) given up their arms. They pose no threat to the government, so their rage is ineffectual in changing the status quo.

And lastly, I can assure you that King Charles will not touch this whole thing with a ten-foot pole. He is a leftist, and there’s no indication that he is a morally courageous man. The demand that he dissolve the government will fall on deaf ears.

At the end of the day, Muslims fight for sex, and the British government fights for the Muslim right to rape British teenage girls. A country that once believed in itself and practiced muscular Christianity is now nothing more than a sleazy pimp for Islam.”

This idea of people spreading lies is awfully vague and doesn't really describe what people are really lying about. Are we referring to that 1 girl who did lie (she's getting her own channel 4 show btw) or is this about some random literal who on facebook?

Going to call it now since I've had a good track record as of late but I think if 1 more shocking this comes out of this then his own party is going to force him to resign.

We’re going to see a lot of Snope’s style hyper technical definition of words style debunking from the establishment press in the coming weeks. We just need The Telegraph to keep digging to the point even The Guardian feel stupid lying about it.

Also, I may be wrong on this (so call me a retard if so) but I think the kebab story is an urban legend. It originates from a very poor joke that was used as evidence by the prosecution of a man who was later acquited. The case collapsed due to the police force messing up the evidence and other cases of malpractice. The trial collapsed without any hard evidence of the 'meat in the kebab' story other than the 'joke'. But that's all I remember.
Who knows for absolute certain?

Here's an article from the Wikipedos, referencing the kebab shop and "jokes" about how to dispose of her body:

Here's a recent article from Sky News, stating that her body is still missing as of 2023:
Two decades and her body hasn't been found...

And here's one from LBC, referencing the kebab meat theory:

Occam's razor suggests that
A) an abused and murdered child's body was disposed of amongst other rotting meat.
B) she was fed to local people, with the rest of her remains dumped with old meat.

B is significantly worse than A, but A is absolutely fucking horrific too. Read the stories and draw a conclusion. This is might be the thickest end if the the stick, but it's the sort of thing that has been happening for two whole decades.

Now the government is asking opposition parties not to politicise this, when their own failure to act is clearly political.

(BTW, I'm not calling anyone retarded. It's perfectly natural to feel optimistic when faced with this level of horror. If souls are a thing, I hope the poor girl's soul is at peace.)

The "lies" he's concerned about are the things people are saying about him. His tenure as head of the crown prosecution service was marked by a distinct inability to prosecute known paedophiles, despite everything he is now claiming he did at the time. Mountains of evidence, and yet whenever those cases came due, his office refused them. He's a conceited egotist, suffering profound narcissistic injury due to people having the temerity to criticise his actions and behaviour. People are calling him out and he cannot stand it, to the point that he might actually be willing to burn down his entire government just to get back at them.

I had the misfortune to have to travel by public transit today from one part of West Yorkshire to another. The trains were on time but the platforms had not been cleared of snow at all. Nor was any grit placed down, and the snow, having been trampled down, was compacted and icy. At Bradford Interchange I saw a large (not hugely fat, I guess I would call her stout, and extremely tall) African woman giving platform staff at the station a bollocking for "standing around doing nothing" instead of "making the platforms safe for passengers". She really gave them what for, and it was great to see.

I am inherently racist but I respected the fact she called the workshy bastards to account and was telling them all off. I will also admit to being a bit of a fan of an African accent being used to tell someone off, and she sounded hilarious. The Northern Rail Staff were visibly shocked and cowed by this woman, and it goes without saying that most of them were clearly Muslim men.

As for Starmer, the truth is easy to find. The man supports pedophiles and actively encouraged lenient sentences against them. Even if a nonce only "looks at" child porn images, there is still harm done as those images are the direct result of abuse against children. There is no such thing as a victimless crime when it comes to the crimes pedos commit.

I know someone who has had access to the majority of the findings of Operation Yewtree, and the way in which child rape is part of the fundamental fabric of public bodies and institutions in this country is truly sickening. Yes, child grooming and rape will still exist if we punt all the Muslims into yonder briny depths, because child fucking is part of life fof certain "echelons" of society. But it's a start, and we have to start somewhere. Why not start with people whose tendency towards sexual offences is over 3x more than that of native-born Brits?

His relation to Lord Alli is also very unusual. I have never heard of a gay man gifting a straight couple clothing. Both alli and lord ahmed of rotherham were ennobled by Blair.

See this is the thing. This lady is part of ‘a community.’ She’s used to senior members of that community enforcing certain standards among the rest. You go to any kind of respectable African church event and there’s always a few matriarchs with a gimlet eye on things and happy to dole out a few whacks for anyone misbehaving. And yes different cujture shouldn’t be here but my point is that we used to do that too. You dropped litter? You’d get your ear clipped by a passing adult. You swore or pointed, you’d be told off by a non related adult if your own parents weren’t around. Behavioural standards were enforced and it worked. You’d have had a half dozen lads with salt and grit on a train platform /walkways making sure it was safe, and you’d have their supervisor watch then. We got rid of any form of shaming or negative social feedback for poor behaviour and replaced it with negative social feedback for opinions, and this has been disastrous
Fuck the UK
there’s really no need, we’ve been getting shafted for a long time now
