Russian Special Military Operation in the Ukraine - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

Anyways, I've heard predictions that the Ukrainians are close to capitulation(like 1-3 months awat), but I don't follow this stuff very closely so I'd like to hear your opinions on how realistic this is.

This is not a conventional war, normal metrics for a convetional war can not be applied on this conflict.

This is more like a Hostage situation.

Zelensky and US is holding ukrainian people and their resources as hostage for their own benefit and are going to continue to do this as long as they can profit.

The war will be over by Christmas

They still have hundreds of thousands of troops, and they haven’t even lowered the conscription age yet.

They’ve got enough manpower to keep fighting for years, as long as it’s what the U.S. wants.

Ukrainians think they’ll end up like South Korea—maybe they will, in the sense of working themselves to death and facing demographic collapse. But after killing each other for ZOG, they’re more likely to end up like every other so-called “junior partner” of the U.S.

battle of Toretsk entered clean up phase .

Fall of Toretsk will cause this massive bulge to be quickly captured and next city Kostiantynivka will become frontline , Kostiantynivka is being used as supply hub for both Toretsk and Chasov Yar so pressure on it will accelerate fall of Chasov Yar.

I imagine that when this pocket and the Kurakhove/Andriivka one both collapse, Donetsk will be quite "safe", right?
Since the city would be >30km away from the nearest northern and western frontlines.

In Dnepr, a TCC worker grabbed a machine gun and wanted to scare off pensioners , but it didn't work. The man who was being towed away with his face covered in blood was successfully rescued.

I wonder, did he seriously want to give a queue to pensioners? Have they completely turned their backs on their Nazi government? Link

That ship has sailed. They need at least 50% more experienced troops just to keep an effective defence.

The Russians have punched through much of that layered defence lines in the Donbas, so they need the numbers to effectively keep the Russians from taking ground.

Pair that up with the desertion rates, and you have a very bleak picture.

There's been some sort of official reply about this

Ukrainian bloggers have been discussing the recruitment problems. It's been going on for a long time. And I bet you thought that the Brits and French were training Ukrainians out of the kindness of their own hearts.

So much that they've even been sending "motivational troops" abroad to guard their own trainees.

Some of their plans have the scent of "Fuhrer's bunker" about them. That's beyond the sheer lunacy of embedding an Azovite in every platoon.

Not that crack Ukrainian troops have much of the crack about them anymore. The Russians believe that there was meant to be a follow up to yesterday's attack. But the special forces just didn't turn up. No-one's quite sure if they disobeyed orders or if they technically don't have to follow them.

I can't get the video, but the Russians filmed a few more Ukrainians "deserting" in Kursk yesterday. I wonder how many other of the deserters are hiding six foot underground.

Putin has started to set down his negotiating position. "We'll let Ukraine join NATO if you kick the Americans out of all Eastern Europe"

Don't know when this was filmed, but Ukraine nearly brought down a Ka-52 with a drone. Well nearly hit it. Who knows which one would have come out the better

And I don't know how I missed Dmitry Medvedev's look back at 2024. I've no idea if he actually made these predictions but it made me laugh.

What did he mean by this?
Chabad. They're really into politics and warmongering on behalf of Israel and supposedly Hasidim but believe their dead rebbe is the Messiah while also proselytizing which is anathema to other Hasidim.

Jews are either Orthodox, Conservative or Reform, the latter being the most liberal and Orthodox the most traditional and Conservative are in between. Hasidim are the most traditional but Chabad act more like Reform jews. It's weird and I only keep up with it because I live in Jew York City. I think Chabad is really adjacent to Ukraine which of course would piss Putin off.

NATO tactics are predicated on the promise of overwhelming air supremacy. They apparently can't comprehend any other reality. The 2023 counteroffensive plan NATO pushed involved Ukraine concentrating most of its hardware on a single point against an enemy with superiority in artillery and air support (as well as near-complete visibility of the battlefield thanks to satellites and drones). Swap the Ukrainian soldiers out for French or British or German equivalents and Ukraine would collapse within six months.
