This is a very poor showing for a country that claims to be a source of so much information technology talent.
Kazakhstan has a population of about 20 million, but they too have won this competition three times. India's population is
70 times larger than Kazakhstan! If programming talent (mostly IQ) and education was the same in both of these countries (and assuming the IOI is a meaningful test of these qualities) then India should have won more than 100 by now.
"We need H1Bs from India!!" is just another scam.
The real outlier in this competition is South Korea. 49 victories with a population of 50 million.
