Forspoken was absolutely cringe with the dialogue and woke shit but...........damn running like fuckin Sonic jumping around treading across the water and zooming around the landscape was fun as hell. Liked the capes too. Idk sue me.

It popped into my head randomly because of how perfectly it fits into this current trend of generic slop especially on console. The PS5 Store looks fucking tragic because of this - the only positive I can really say is Sony porting old games at least. Even if it is “to stream” and paywalled by subscription for some. GOTY was horrific this year, I’m surprised they haven’t done an E3 yet and crashed.

I haven’t played it, it’s not my type of thing at all gameplay and genre-wise (I feel like recent games like to hold your hand too much and kill that exploration). That and playing as a black Mary Sue sounds fucking boring to me personally.

Did you know there are catacombs under every government building? Psychopomp is a psychological horror adventure game, in which you are a hammer-wielding paranoid exploring a world of twisting tunnels and grotesque filth which had been hidden from you for your whole life.
Despite it being a low-poly pixelslop indie game, I was pleasantly surprised to find there is nothing woke about it. The only thing that could be argued as woke is the main character being a girl, but the game has nothing resembling genderspergery nor "the body horror of gender dysphoria." It's the video game equivalent of an /x/ schizopost, and it's refreshingly non-pozzed.

Can be, its a higher risk. At some point she may go girl boss and smash the male (always white of course) power structure with how preconception breaking she is. You see, she is not like other girls, she is a badass and can take on men,,,,,blah blah blah,,,my goyim, my foreskins,etc etc and so on.

You can directly tell how woke a female character is by measuring the angle of her chin and then normalizing it by 90.

Unwoke:
Shows the importance of parenthood, community, give&take and real connections. No group is demonised or humiliated.
Asexuality and isolation is shown as a undesirable thing. Beautiful women.
Woke:
A single one "interview" of an elderly immigrant who whinges about Trump. Maybe 'racial casting' where they cast a half-English actress who couldn't speak English (but her love story is cute, so I'll give it pass). Male only nudity (Kojima was torn apart for a scantaly clad character in his previous game).
Neither:
Also, it's got the opposite problem of "incongruous negroes", where the game set in America has almost no Blackfellas, and the only prominent one hides his face.
Lethal violence is discouraged, but this makes sense in the setting.

Woke-ish?: IIRC Kojima bent the knee and the director's cut version added some extra bit about muh bigotry and shiet to that log because self-proclaimed asexuals and genderspecials got offended at that.

The game is still under development, so who knows if there will be woke or not.

100%'d the release version of Echo Point Nova on Steam.

Wokefactor is still None. There's some character customization skins for chocolate people and women but the default is the faceless main character and you can also play a white man if you want to.

Story involves generic evil mercenaries infesting an alien planet and you gotta kill them all while guided by dialog from a few friendly NPCs. Story has no nuance and the dialog is cheesy but there's nothing woke in it.

Also a pretty fun game, I like the unique movement mechanics, though the post-game content could be better as it just rehashes the same fights with gimmicks like "the floor is lava". Also I'd suggest playing on the hardest difficulty as the game is otherwise too easy.

Freedom Wars Remastered censors references to gender/sex in the character customization.
