They probably hired some illegals to redo the plumbing. I did some renovation work on some houses illegals worked on and literally all of them had fucked up plumbing. Basic shit anyone with a brain could tell is a bad idea like metal inserted into pex pipe or like 8 90s in a single rooms run of pipe. That or they're just retarded californians and put all the water towards growing literally flavorless green mush known as avocados.

No water reservoirs, deemed too racist or whatever so they gave this money to trannies and faggots instead. Not like more water would have killed the fire, but it would help put out more homes, therefore saving lives.
Californians literally deemed their own lives less worthwhile than that of all the minority groups they pander to, this is poetic justice.
What is the first thing you do when you live in a desert in a middle of nowhere? You make sure you have adequate water reserves, so that you don't depend on surrounding counties or even states to help you out when you need it the most. Somehow, that fell to the backside in this wonderful paradise that is currently on fucking fire.

Most of them are not kept to a strictly-clean unmodified specification, yes. Even unmodified, it's not like those cars are passing the state's ridiculous modern standards for clean vehicles anyways. At least the air-cooled Porsches stay as it is with the remaining few on the road. I haven't seen the old school hot-rods you mentioned for a long time now, those go to car meets and SEMA for show.
