That's gonna be a huge problem in a "Big if true" way. The hills are extremely dense in terms of foliage. There isn't a lot of street space. Most of the structures are old. The main access road to each of the "tributary" roads in the hills is Mullholand, which is on the ridge of the hill. Any amount of traffic of fleeing people will shut down access to larger vehicles.
If the Hills, Palisades are on fire and stay on fire, that means the entire "Classically rich" area of Los Angeles will burn, since those hills run all the way from The west side to the east, and are only split by a few valleys where Highways run through north to south. (405 freeway/2/101 Freeway)
