January 2025 Mass Post Ratings and Compromised Accounts

There are brand new and old accounts coming online to mass rate all recent content to spam notifications.

The old accounts are compromised. Their details are shared on websites that collect compromised account data, often from malware or other leaks collated together.

There is no site breach.

I have proactively locked down all accounts which I have found in these leaks. Accounts with disposable emails were banned.

New accounts will continue to be made.

Multiple groups are taking credit. It is possible it is multiple groups, multiple groups blaming each other, a single group implicating other groups, etc. It is impossible to know and it does not matter. There is zero practical value in knowing who or why.

Do not give these people attention. No matter who or why, they want attention.

There were some semi-active accounts made recently that were hijacked, probably due to poor opsec
