I dont recall such behavior being leveled at people who die in hurricanes, earthquakes, floods or any other event. It is so disappointing to see this many KFers with this mindset. People are by and large much the same everywhere - try and work hard, step up the ladder of wealth and give life a go. But heaven forbid they think differently and that they deserve to die. There were people saying Western NC and Eastern Tennessee deserved Helene because that area is full of "sundown downs." Most often coming from people living in shitholes like California/New York. I'm going to guess you're Californian and surprised that people don't like wealthy Californians. Just be glad that what people say online won't transfer into how much help California gets, while anti-South sentiment led many Helene victims to be ignored by federal employees because they didn't like the area's politics.
