Because of how big it is and how it hilights government incompetence. If my house is gone, I will never forget 0% containment or firefighters not even bothering to save my house.

It probably will be largely diminished by 2028, but I can't overstate how much of a coup de grâce this comes off as.

It is astonishing how much damage has been done to executive functions being almost completely under Democrat control, specifically modern Democrat control, in just the last four years. The only impressive thing is that the complete failures seem to mostly be happening in the past year even though nobody has been at the wheel for 4 years as a point of policy. Just print money and scream climate change/racism/Russia at anything that you don't like.

California and Newsom are that condensed and heightened in it's worse excesses. Far left politics will not destroy a healthy society immediately. The sheer inertia of California's economy has allowed it to do wackier and wackier shit. At the end of the line though, you end up with rampant homelessness and crime and videos of LA literally on fire.

This is 2 months after the nation soundly went to the polls and voted against this nonsense. This is bad press on an unbelievable level for a party that's already down and out. It screams "In case you had any last doubts about our ability to govern, we're actually on fire."

So their Party future is dependent on someone the government tried to encourage the kidnapping of in a sting operation that was at least 25% feds (Potentially 50%), and someone who was so terminally brainrotted that the rot actually killed itself and he somehow became more sensible after a major brain injury? They ain't just scraping the barrel at this point, they're eating woodchips, goddamn.

I feel like California going to ash is just going to be a net improvement to their position in its entirety if this is what they got to deal with. I can't imagine much that'll make a future democrat take practical policy a little more seriously than "I watched my entire home state literally burn down due to mismanagement".

I never really get involved in the Ukraine War bullshit, but given how bad faith this is by Biden I genuinely wouldn't mind if Trump delivered that money to Kiev on the end of a ballistic missile.

I am, as a mostly rational and reasonable adult, so fed up with this blatant horseshit from US Democrats that I am on board with Trump doing whatever the fuck he wants to make them hurt. Crazy shit? Sure! Take Greenland for all I fucking care, but somebody for the love of God make sure the left is burnt to the ground.

A ex-CIA Spook (Spanberger) is most likely going to win the Gov of Virginia in 2025 do to GOP party incompetence's so maybe she'll get her name out?

Its funny Virginia is posed to become a full blue state in 2025 and right now is dealing with the fact that Richmond (the capital) has no water cause they hired a black women to be in charge of it. She didn't do anything and looks to have forged docs about its current standing. And once they get in VA gets rid of all voting ID, clean rolls, etc to become another Cali.

Youngkin can't run in 2025 cause Constitution of Virginia prohibits the state's governors from serving consecutive terms so its gonna be some one else. Looking at the Virginia Project twitter it appears that once the VA GOP got the taste of victory in 2021 they kind of gave up and went back to the old RINO/Fundraising ways. Consultants everywhere just sucking up money.

Now maybe Trump and the new National GOP will give some money this time for races but who knows. It all about grass roots and election interegry.
