Maybe they shouldn't have created all those characters if they weren't planning to use them in the future.
R.I.P Tiara, she never scored made it into a released video game

Didn't Jennifer Hernandez get booted off the art team for the comic after inserting her own OC's as background characters.
I was curious and looked up who you were talking about and good lord.

Are we sure that's a she? I'm certain I see a pedo stash growing there. Fat and anime shirt too, checking all the boxes with this one.

There are more fat women then there are troons who've worked on Sonic in an official capacity.

$13 for digital copies of 12 omnibus issues:
  • The entire first arc (Revenge of |SPOILER|)
  • The entire second arc (Metal Virus) except for the Tangle&Whisper miniseries but I doubt anybody here would care
  • Scrapnik Island (from much later on, but entirely standalone with no comic OCs/plot threads so it can be read whenever)
  • 30th anniversary (one full-size classic-era story, and three smaller classic-era ones, once again standalone/no OCs)
...and then two achronological compilations, one focused on stories featuring Knuckles and the other on Tails. Honestly a pretty good deal, there's also a $1 option for just Scrapnik Island. From my experience, digital downloads from IDW are DRM-free, or at least the Sonic ones are.

Sometimes I love how dark this series tries to be
They should just own up to it at this point. Attempting to downplay these elements is like when Flynn said in his podcast "If you came to IDW Sonic looking for in-depth themes in your stories, go read another book."

That's paraphrasing, I know, but the guy practically played the Battlefield 5 card of "Don't like it? Don't buy it!" and this was BEFORE Frontiers, the movies, and Shadow Gens brought the series back from the brink of being condemned to an eternity of Baldy McNosehair's mixed with Whispangle ship teasing 24/7.

Question guys,

I got Sonic Adventure 2 on Steam. Every time I launch it, it brings up this configuration thing. EVERY TIME I launch the game.

It doesn't even save my settings. It keeps defaulting to 800x600 despite me making it clear that's not what I want.

I wonder if me loading the SA Mod Manager before ever running the proper game borked something. But is there a way to make it skip this configuration thing? It happens regardless of whether I use launcher.exe or sonic2app.exe

Windows 10 BTW.

We need another Shadow the Edgehog. It was the greatest shitpost that Sega had ever made and you hardly see anyone reeing about the content of it, unlike how an lot of the modern stuff has some magical reset button at the end of the story
Shadow Generations was a nice step in that direction, but they really should've let it cook into a full game rather than rush it out as a DLC to coincide with the movie release.

I appreciate the periods in when Sonic Team would incorporate both darker elements and different main villains into the plots of Sonic games, it's a major factor in bringing some more depth to the characters while still usually retaining to the typical Status Quo at the end.

It's also why in spite of the games' gameplay quality being all over the place they at least still had interesting points to them. Secret Rings and Black Knight for example suffered big-time from finicky motion tilt and other janky parts to it but I'd love to see more attempts at villains like Erazor Djinn and Merlina again with interesting motives than just the same 'Eggman's up to no good, stop him' schtick over and over again.

Indeed, for me Sonic Frontiers has done for Robotnik what Super Mario RPG did for Bowser and Symphony of the Night did for Dracula--its like, "how is this guy even still a villain after all this?"

It kinda makes me dread the next Sonic game because, like has been said, they do the comic book reset button thing meaning nothing matters and nothing ever sticks even if it would legitimately be a good idea. (rare props to Konami since they actually did try to vary the formula post-SOTN, either by placing games earlier in the timeline or else doing "its not Dracula this time" games).

..... Still looking for help on my SA2 technical issues BTW.

Have you gone into the SA Mod Manager and set your game settings in there instead and then launched from the Mod Manager?

NOTE: Apparently IDW decided to permanently discontinue the ability to download your purchases digitally, and you can only read them through their online-only shitty app now, which might just decide not to sync your purchases over anyway. This might be the only way to get actual PDF/EPUB downloads of these comics now, since the page says it's available in those formats off of Humble. So happy I backed up mine I bought ages ago...

Bundle ends in under 24 hours.
