i mean that's where most of us are realistically. we're a group that's more prone to dramatics than most, because forums are a fun place to leave a big post grandstanding about your beliefs, but i think most of us want anyone who was normal and just stuck in cali to be safe, and anyone who was a degenerate to melt in the flames. i'm not the one who makes the flames do what they're doing, though, so all i can do is watch in awe and horror as fire consumes a city.

i have sympathy for the innocent dead, just like in every one of these moralfag arguments, but i don't have sympathy for the mass group, because the mass group is responsible for what happened here.

Exactly. They don't actually believe in climate change. Its just a way to be performative, and pretend to be morally righteous. Meanwhile, millions of Californians do believe in climate change and the prediction that such would make their fire problems and water problems worse, and did vote for more reservoirs and more firefighting efforts.

I just caught up on the highlights and every single one is either devil-worshipping californians e-begging for sympathy or jew-worshipping christians moralfagging and not a single new picture, video, press release, update on the actual fire itself.

Everyone here should be really ashamed of themselves.

You don't even half to believe in climate charge bullshit. It would make sense to invest more in Fire prevention considering California's long history with fires. Same with with Earthquake response and mitigation. Anyone else remember when liberal democrats were known for over spending? What was that 17 million redirected to? Giving HRT to spics from Guatemala?

I and others have been posting info without engaging in the slapfights if those posts aren't making it into the highlights it's probably because inflammatory shitposting gets more engagement (true everywhere)

On one hand, this is a classic case of government mismanagement and corruption coming home to roost. They and the other rich jerkoffs who crow about climate change and how prescribed burns are never, like, literally okay, were warned that the current state of affairs is unsustainable. Other states are running out of money and water. Cali never saved any of theirs from the rains, for some baffling reason (they thought they wouldn't need it?). Education and infrastructure are falling apart. They don't care as long as things stay glossy. The political tide turning against them? Not their fault, People are just being brainwashed, there's no way anyone's suffering outside their mansions, and if they are, they deserve it for voting wrong.

On the other hand, outside the establishment and their pets, I can't forget how corrupt cities are and how they act as an albatross around a state's neck. I don't believe Europe "voted for this," and to an extent I don't think Californians in general "voted for this" either. They tried to vote out of it, but there's always infinity ballots, or a Soros judge, or some esoteric akshually rule that says no, stalker child, you DON'T have rights, enjoy neo-feudalism prison. So I don't get much schadenfreude out of this, and not just because there are kiwis living there, but because the people who really let this happen won't suffer for it. Their homes are fine. They magically get away with it, as they always do.

My perspective doesn't mean much, given it's from the other side of the country, but I can say this. If NYC is like an uncle you can't see anymore because he relapsed into his drug addiction, LA is like a grandfather, or a distant cousin, that is a shadow of his former self. You look at videos from the 50's or 70's or 90's and you get a glimpse of who he used to be, but you don't feel he deserved to decay. You just feel sad that he turned out this way. You wonder how things could be different, yet you know they can't continue forever.
