They have to cancel the 2028 LA Olympics over this right? There is no way they are gonna fix the shithole of a city by then.
Why would they cancel? The Olympics is used to fatten the wallets of the businesses and politicians being paid off not to help the city. Half the state could sink and they’d still dump money into it.

A fire hydrant is made of cast iron. Idk who told you this but they were lying.
The barrel is typically made of cast iron or ductile iron.

The bonnet is the part of the fire hydrant that covers the opening where the hydrant is connected to the water supply. It is usually made of bronze, which is a durable metal that is resistant to corrosion.

The hydrant outlet or head is typically made of bronze or brass. Bronze and brass fittings are preferred due to their ability to withstand high-pressure water flows, reduce friction losses, and last an extended period compared to other materials.

The valve of a fire hydrant is typically made of ductile iron or brass since both materials can withstand high-pressure water flows. The valve stem or spindle is usually made of stainless steel or brass.

Also confirmed they left the tortoise to cook in its burrow or suffocate when the fire drags the oxygen out of its hole.
Please archive tweets, especially those that admit to murdering a pet by leaving it behind to die.

Is it really so hard to roll a shelled-up fuckin tortoise up a ramp in the trunk to save its life? Libs hate turtles, to death. They seem to be 350-450 lbs on average.
I don't know the lady that left a tort in it's burrow, or what kind of tort she has, but as the human caretaker of a half-grown Sulcata I can honestly say that once those fuckers decide to get in their burrow, it will literally take digging up the whole area to get them out, and they won't be happy about it. Sucks, but perhaps in the moment it was the best people could do.
Goes without saying but I hope any animals having to fend for themselves are okay.

KCRA 3 has a camera up over the Eaton fire

It probably is a good thing for the millions of insurance policyholders that don't live in a hellhole with state-mandated infernos. I know I don't want to pick up the bill for their 5 million dollar houses.
State Farm is one of the largest property and casualty insurance companies in the United States, if they do any payouts someone will have to pick up the cost somewhere.
