I'm pretty equal opportunity in mocking natural disasters, although it really should be an equal opportunity thing, and it isn't a good thing at all. Even the most "red" or "blue" state generally has at least 40 percent of the population in general agreement with your politics unless they're incredibly extreme and weird. You're usually looking at 60/40 or so.40 years of Californians celebrating poor areas being destroyed by natural disasters has led to the current situation where most of America is rooting for their total immolation.
So blaming people for something they didn't vote for and probably voted against isn't really fair, especially considering whichever party you favor probably does some absolutely fucked up shit you don't even agree with but you either pick one or the other or "throw away your vote" by voting for someone you actually do agree with.
Like for instance, vote for Democrats or vote for Republicans, whoever gets elected will be taking the knee to Israel. I'm not even particularly anti-Israel, but I am anti-not even having any fucking choice about it.
