Live updates: Brush fire burns in Pacific Palisades as Santa Ana winds blast Southern California - Live video at link

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
Biden says federal funding to cover 100% of costs for 180 days

for anyone wondering about the hate on california, let's take a quick look at the response timeline between two events

LA fire: hit LA on January 7th. Biden's response two days later: federal funding to cover 100% of costs for 180 days

Hurricane Helene: hit North Carolina September 27th. Biden's response two days layer: we sent FEMA, whatever

and what does FEMA do? skip over houses for political reasons, block and confiscate outside aid, and has its director come out and say they don’t have enough money to make it through hurricane season because they spent too much on aiding illegals

California is the spoiled golden child that always gets a shiny new car from daddy government after drunk driving and wrecking their current one, and then is surprised when its siblings laugh when it suffers consequences for once

Actually I am curious. They have these(3 of them) fucking beasts nearby but they seem to just be letting them sit there.

Damn I even looked it up before posting to not sound like a retard. Is this not correct? https://people.howstuffworks.com/jury-rigged-vs-jerry-rigged.htm
no, he's just making shit up. jury-rigged is a term that comes from the nautical world in the 18th century, and the term it borrows from, jury, is from 15th century english, way before ww2.

on topic, is that one hollywood hills cam still down from the other day?

If you don't know jury-rigged air filtration units are easy and cheap to build if you have a box fan (called a corsi-rosenthal box).
I had a good look at it, it’s something we could build if the air gets really bad, as of right now our AC system’s doing a good job of keep their air breathable due to me replacing the filter yesterday.

That and the masks are for when we have to leave the house for whatever reason.

Jamie Lee Curtis gave a crying interview talking about how her friends' multi million dollar homes are gone.

Curtis is also an outspoken advocate of the gender identity nutcases, including her own freakshow son "Ruby" who claims he's a woman and is on record being a fucking sexual predator and threatening, harassing and stalking women in real life and on social media.

Fuck you, you rapist defender. Hope your home gets torched and State Farm cancels your insurance.

I hope the fire burns her demonic pedophile picture along with the rest of the house.

Maybe we'll get extra lucky and the flames will cleanse deeply enough to remove the Moloch shrine in the basement.

How would they know who had what in their house? And why is lost BTC a cause to celebrate?
A private key is the way you access bitcoin. It's a string of numbers, and without it, you cannot access your "wallet". Think of it a bit like having a key to a security deposit box full of money, and if you lose the key there's no way to get a new one - the money's stuck in there forever. Typically people store these somewhere "safe" and offline, either written down somewhere or stored on a hard drive - there's a man who keeps trying to dig up a landfill because his girlfriend accidentally threw out his hard drive.
If a lot of very wealthy people lose their bitcoin keys, then this significantly increases bitcoin scarcity, which will make the remaining bitcoin more valuable.

So there's no water in the fire hydrants, smaller fires are starting elsewhere in the state that can't be fought, the people in charge of alerts fucked up and sent a county wide evac order, even if the fire hydrants had water a bunch have been stolen, the state doesn't have trillions of gallons of water saved to fight it because it was dumped to make room for a bunch of rain that never came, the bigger fires are too big to fly over, a lot of the fireries are convict labor paid like 6 bucks a day and to top it off its winter so summer could have a fresh wave of terrible fires. Have I missed anything?

I don’t know what her sources are, but it’s hard to imagine a group of people sitting around and passing judgement on a slapdash fix making sense as an idiom.

Maybe I stand corrected, but like, she didn’t mention WHICH 16th century nautical source, and I always assumed “jury rigged” was misheard

where is this being reported by? KTLA 5 is busy talking about "emotional support" and how much looking people in the eye is helping
I also just heard this over the LAFD scanner - they want to be ready to shut it down early to avoid people being trapped in cars

I would strongly advise anyone who still lives in California to escape into Nevada and day trip back for whatever sentimental purposes compel them.

The entire state is at risk of wildfires AND earthquakes, has 70% of the US homeless population, and its government insists that everything is fine and they’re actually better than you
A lot of this is because we built on land that people really aren't meant to live on. The Native Americans knew what they were doing when they refused to live in certain areas. They might hunt, forage, or camp there, but they didn't LIVE there.
