You can't have a grid overload if there's no grid.At least the electrical grid won't be overloaded anymore.

Personally, I like to sleep in a 'home' as opposed to a 'windrow of burnt ash full of asbestos' and consider a 'roof' the minimum standard for 'housing prices' as opposed to 'land prices' but you do you, I suppose. No, but actually yes. The LAND didn't just sink into the ocean, its still there, just covered in ash. I imagine prices for these lots will of COURSE plummet, since you aren't buying a house, you are buying a box of ash.
Complete error. Literally gave EVERYONE in LA county an alert on their phones.
For the two big fires, yes.Are we still at 0% containment?![]()
Some real food for thought here. Ya, not sure of any insurance company who will be able to pay all claims in full. Suggest the insurance companies will ask for government help paying these claims to keep from going out of business. Then the insurance companies will raise their rates on everyone else just to stay in business. This being LA, you still have tons of people who can provide money of their own to supplement insurance money. The left loves to bitch about Republicans' inability to govern, but the rights' mismanagement has never caused $50 billion in estimated losses IN A FEW DAYS.
I predict you will see a massive diaspora like that of Katrina. Claims will be grossly underpaid. The insurance companies can cite retarded decisions and failing leadership saying the states' at fault if they even try to sue. Rebuilding costs will be sky high and result in a shortage of workers. That means you're looking at months to years before any construction starts. For many, rebuilding is something they cannot afford. It will be easier to move on to some place more affordable.
I just remember the rugged WWII gas cans being called Gerry-cans. The story I heard is that at the beginning of the war the US was so impressed by the superiority of the German fuel cans they immediately copied them and adopted the design as standard-issue. Hence, forever to be known as the Gerry-can.I’ve never heard the word “jury” being used in any context outside of a group of people that make decisions in trials.
Obviously I’m not an expert on Middle English who can dispute this, but there’s not a lot of similar cases, like “sixteenth century words with completely different meanings when combined with one particular verb that sound like normal non nautical words”
Like, I didn’t even know nautical English was different from other forms of English
i thought it was named after Jerry Can, the inventor of gas cansI just remember the rugged WWII gas cans being called Gerry-cans. I've had this gofundme open in a browser tab for a few hours to see what kind of donations they rake in. Sadly the money doesn't seem to be flowing in at this time. White supremacy culture strikes again.
Can you imagine another Bling Ring? Except this time its during a national emergency. Sofia Coppola is taking meticulous notes.Planning to collect some memorabilia while she's not at home?
Winds are blowing south-southeast right now. That's just about the worst thing it could do right now. Fuck.View attachment 6839972
It's got the wind on it's side right now
