Live updates: Brush fire burns in Pacific Palisades as Santa Ana winds blast Southern California - Live video at link

Newsom needs sacking. I don't care what legal bullshit the feds have to do. Remove him. It's fucking time. A hearing isn't enough. The governor must answer for the failures of his underlings. Nothing short of full stripping of powers will satisfy that.
LA County was of the two that wanted to keep him. I definitely wanted him gone despite that.

I thought that house in the background looked out of place for Los Angeles and sure enough it's actually a render

It's by "thedrizzyviper" which seems suspiciously like an obscure fetish account, as it mostly posts renders of high end sports cars covered in dirt or damaged in some way

I heard an illegal started this?
Maybe now the rich celebs will stop virtue signaling.
Either way, no one deserves this. (except maybe Newsome)
I grew up in SoCal, and it used to be so magical.
It was cool up until Arnold got elected right? Not cause of that but at that point it turned into what it is now.

But why drain the water? So that they don't ignore EPA regulations? Is this red tape to prevent corruption and loopholes? Is the US really that paranoid about this kind of thing to the point of becoming so inflexible? These are the kinds of measures one would expect in corrupt hellholes like China where nobody trusts anyone.
It's worse than China. It's China style hellish bureaucracy but with South Africa style race politics on top of it. For whatever reason, this is the sort of government the elites who rule us want, so minor natural disasters turn into enormous mass casualty events of pure destruction. Every single house burnt or person injured or killed was murdered by the corrupt governments of Los Angeles and California.
Pretty awesome to watch.. away from people and things at least.

Back in WW2 in the fire bombings of Japan.. There were fire storms and then tornados that would have ranked EF3-EF4 (F2-F3) or higher. Quarter mile wide 150+ MPH tornados burning at thousands of degrees.. Powerful enough to suck people up, pull them off of things they were hanging on, out of arms and into the fire vortex. People sucked in were usually never seen again alive or dead. The heat and wind incinerated them to ash and then spread them everywhere. Terrifying stuff.
Actual fire tornadoes are really rare. These are fire whorls which aren't the same. A true fire tornado would be created from a thunderstorm spawned by the heat of the fire and then drop down onto the fire itself, which actually happened during the California wildfires a few years ago.

Found this comment on Freakin Awesome Network, LA fire and Hogan related:
Apologies for bringing up recent events, but in the possibilty he might try something, if Hogan ever tries to lend a helping hand to victims in the Southwest, it better be sincere, even if they boo him or quip him in public. And he BETTER keep his big yap(not yappapi strap) shut. Just do it. Help people of different background, skins, gender, sexuality etc. No big publicity, and NO TALL TALES of the experience, whether in public or on a podcast.
Is Hogan even known for being charitable, or would he do this as an opportunist?

I'm on team butch lesbian firechief honestly. I hope she beats mayor Bass like she beats her wife for defunding the fire department so severely and then trying to fire the chief of firefighting staff during an enormous fire crisis for slighting you.

There are no teams or sides to pick here. The cheif's talk now is calculated to save her own ass. She too bears an incredible amount of responsibility for this historical disaster. She talks tough now but she spent years wasting millions on a new DEI program and donating equipment to Ukraine. Why wasn't she sounding alarms then?

I don't know if she was cheif at the time but firing people for COVID shots certainly didn't help either. Thank god the incompetent, obese, transexual nigger faggots showing up "look like me" though!

Both of these clowns should be spitroasted over the charred remains of their failure... if only the people didn't vote for these exact kinds of policies.

This is a pretty good map site that let's you choose what to display.

I have skimmed through the thread, but can I get an update how and where the fires are moving to? It seems to me that the fires are spreading into the mountains / forested instead of going into the cities.
Probably late but the Eaton one seems to be heading north into the hills.
The palisades one split with part going west just above Malibu and the rest heading north and then east. Putting Brentwood and Encino at risk.
All firefighters are probably still on guard south of the Hollywood sign surrounding the scientology hq.

This is devastating to watch. As an Australian, I known that even if the US asked for firefighters, we wouldn't be able to provide any with the fires happening in our own country.

That being said, the fires shouldn't have gotten this bad with proper fire management. We backburn during winter to stop fires. You have to do this when you plant eucalyptus trees. They drop their leaves in the summer and if you don't burn them off this happens.

I've seen lots of talk about water and budget cuts but nobody has brought this up.
