If you want to play with LLMs and chatbots that is probably the easiest way. OpenRouter has a lot of LLMs including Claude and GPT, you pay by the token and they have a don't ask, don't tell attitude when it comes to using their service. Unless you have a top of the line GPU with tons of Vram, you are going to need to use a service. Sillytavern is an open source chatbot front end that you run locally and plug an API into.
